QUOTE(yvliew @ Jul 6 2017, 10:01 PM) Samsung should use more premium quality stuff for their flagship. S7E fp scanner is a nightmare too. Can see so many demo unit already paint chip off.. or super scratch.. When I was using mine also.. The sides a little chip off.. Poor stuff by samsung. My s8+ within few hours.. I was wiping the FP scanner.. From wiping it already made a fine hair line scratch. I don't really know why you guys are wiping it few times a day only to complain it scratches later. Why not leave it just like that? I have been using my S6e fingerprint since day 1 and there's no paint chip off. My cousin who are using S7e fingerprint also have no problem. Most definitely is user getting too paranoid about smudges and start wiping every now and then.

Same with my s6e and s7e last time. No problem with my fp sensor. Can forumer with scratch fp share some pic?

This is a common issue not just limited to us 'few guys'. A simple google search brings out plenty similar users facing similar problems.

My FP scanner still looks good. I did wipe it using cloth from time to time, I think it's scratch because u touch it using fingernail not finger when do FP scanning that time. Esp those with long fingernails.

QUOTE(surefire v LED @ Jul 7 2017, 10:44 AM) use face detection to unlock. Face unlock is less secured compared to IRIS/FP scanning.

QUOTE(David83 @ Jul 6 2017, 08:32 PM) Edge lighting not compatible with Whatsapp. So far, I noticed that it works only on SMS - built-in Messages app. I have turned it off! Iris unlock is also a pain in the ass for me. I can't make it working smoothly for me. I disabled it also. Try check under : Settings > Notifications > WhatsApp is everything turn on ?

Have you guys tried to bypass the face unlock using a picture of yourselves? I've tried multiple pictures to no avail. Even my twin cannot get pass the lock screen with his face. Strange, as I thought it would be less secure than what I'm currently experiencing. Rather impressive I must say.
