Could this be Hashnest pinning the price down for today? Doesn't make sense thought...

Stuck at around 0.27 like forever 4-5 hrs now...lol... that's a lot of hashpower/LTC...

Today still at 0.25, potential for 0.24 ?  biggrin.gif
But with BTC holding above 3400, I wonder if worth to invest into HN.
Or should I just pump my HF contract since it still charge with 13.50 USD now  hmm.gif
*
high btc means you get lots of ltc from exchange...low 0.25 means you get lots of hashrates with the ltc bounty...so for now HN>>HF...

if you're starting from fiat...then just have to work the numbers lor...my gut feel is still HN...

Without clear view on transfer fee, exchange's hidden charges etc, cant calculate exact amount.
*
buy from someone will be easiest to get going...shiftshape or exchange will be more "fun" for the experience or a big "hassle" depending on your frame of reference...

the fees are all spelt out...but can be daunting for first timers... when I started, I went the whole nine yards to understand how things work...

Always transfer big amount...

I am wondering how does HashNest makes money.

When a new customer joins and buys Hash rates, he could be buying it from existing customers.
Let's say I put in 30 LTC to buy 100MHS.
12 months later I can sell the 100MHS let's say for 30 LTC as well.
Whatever mining income I get during the 12 months is mine as well.

So does HashNest makes money? hmm.gif
*
1. Selling overpriced machine to early buyers
2. 0.15% from MHS seller
3. 0.15% from exchange
4. Maintenance fee
5. Hedging LTC
6. Land appreciation

Thanks.

Using default values...the calculator says I'm under... guess will have to play with it more. Don't know what would be the realistic difficulty change moving forward...

Thanks loads Raynman..!

So according to this link ( calculated for 800 MH/s ) :

https://www.coinwarz.com/calculators/liteco...3420000&hc=0.00

I make $1145-240(maintenance)= 905 usd
Initial investment : 10800 usd

Break even after : 11 months

What do you think sifu, should I go for it? I think Litecoin will probably have an upward growth, after researching quite a bit.
*
please expect a much longer breakeven period than 11 months.

difficulty will be increasing at a much faster rate in the coming months as new L3+ ships...this is certain. your payout will reduce accordingly

and who knows if Bitmain will have more powerful antminer models for next year...

Yakah?
You did not factor in the expected LTC price increase in the future kah?
The price remain stagnant kah?
*
5% LTC price increase month on month
105% pool luck 1st 6 months, 103% the following 6 months, 100% the next 12 months

what is your expectations? still maintain 11 months breakeven?

all talk about ltc..nobody talk about btc mining =(
*
I looked at two lifetime contracts from Hashflare and Bitcoin Pool...IMHO they are money losing, ie., you get less BTC than you put in...better off hodling BTC

Difficulty is also increasing...the rate of increase has changed for the worse 3 times this year...

I don't know how Segwit2X will influence payout

Hashnest is most expensive, but may be a better option provided you get in low enough, and get out before any serious price crash...

I am almost at breakeven after seven months.
Next month I will be mining for free.
But that is beside the point.
Yes, I do believe an 11 month breakeven starting from now is achievable.
*
good for you...you got in early!!!

7 months ago...difficulty was very very low...

in March it was about 90k...500 MHS will net you about $3.5k per month...at today's difficulty you get less than $600

...and its gonna get worse

Like I said, you always want to paint a bleak picture of cloud mining.
Always citing mining difficulty but ignore price appreciation.
Like the price of bitcoin will stay stagnant for the duration of the contract.
*
i said you get less coin than you put in...

the calculator shows it...

you spent 0.2 BTC...you get back 0.18 BTC as an example

who cares about BTC price appreciation...isn't holding 0.2 BTC * XYZ price better?

Tell me, how much longer can my 770 MH/s scrypt contract last to continue getting money from Hashflare before it becomes unprofitable?

Litecoin has a long life ahead...I'm quite heavily invested in Hashnest...MEF was about 3.5% in July, now is 5.5%...still long way off to even 50%...

I do believe in cloud mining...and I try to understand and set my expectations accordingly.

For now, I'm not mining Bitcoin unless something changes for the better...
