8.5feet ceiling. to install Ceiling fan or no?

hi
my ceiling for a old terrace house is 8.5feet after completing plasterceiling etc. should i still go for a ceiling fan or no? I like ceiling fan as it is more cooling compared to a normal standing fan. |
