Does it lag like its predecessors? Internet Security 2005, 2006, etc..

I've tried Norton Antivirus 2007(not 360) in my costumer's pc & suprisingly it's really light but when I check the services they still got a lot services running like they used to. I wonder if it the 'lightness' can only fell in the desktop environment & not while running heavy applications. HERE'S THE BIG CATCH, I try download CCleaner using firefox & suddenly Norton DELETE the file while it's still downloading. Then I plug in my thumbdrive n somehow Norton give me weird message saying their autoprotect feature has REMOVE some file that has security risk. When I open my thumbdrive there's few file MISSING n those were OPEN SOURCE SOFTWARE.

My conclusion = Norton not open source friendly.

It's in its' default setting. Only tried it for a few hours. Don't know if we can change the setting to be more appropriate. Luckily it wasn't my computer.

I'm using Symantec Norton AntiVirus 2007.XP Vista 32 - 64bit aight now...just want all sifus opinion...is it a good antivirus? coz i'm quite satisfied with this antivirus...just wanna know whut kind of probz will occurs...that's all...thanx

I've been using Norton 360 for a few days now and it's been running stable.

Pros:
The CPU and RAM is quite light when it's idling which is much better than the NIS 2005 that I've used previously. 

The user interface is very simple and clean but navigating through the settings is quite tough.

Cons:
I'm getting constant time outs for HTTP downloads and uploads; MSN constantly disconnect and reconnect; internet browser loses connection with the servers frequently. All these after installing Norton 360. I read elsewhere that someone is also having the same problem and his download speed dropped a lot. Anyway, my torrent runs smoothly though. 

There is no individual file/folder scanning (on-demand scan). The only choice I'm left with is to do a stupid full system scan. 

And Norton 360 doesn't have the event viewer like NA or NIS do. It is downright impossible to see IP of the person that's trying to hack into your computer, when intrusion attempts were made, etc. You can only check what virus-infected files were cleaned by Norton.

Conclusion:
Use NIS 2007 or other better security suites? LOL....
Those were the only things that I notice for the time being..will update more if I find other problems. 

am i missing something? where are the option to scan selected folder. don even have right click to scan selected file! is this antivirus or what?

Yeah, true.. My internet connection become real sluggish and often timeout. Darn. Bought a product that cost me more trouble. My start up become real slow too. B4 i instal N360, when i key in my password in welcome login, it will straight go to welcome and enter window. But now it will stuck at the welcome screen for 5-8 seconds, then the whole screen black out for 3-5 seconds only then it will log into my desktop. AGRHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! 

Btw, Norton 360 have slow down my internet connection and boot up time. One of a forrumer tested N360 boot up time with his stop watch.
A bit regret buying N360 liau.    Last time was using AVG. Dun have this porblem. 

Come to think of it why is it call Norton 360?  It mean back to square. Like that fist Norton found virus, then norton clean it. After clean it virus appeared back again =360. As compliment Norton 360 give u slow internet.    (thus making virus a little slower to spread...)
