Currently using Kenwood DDX515BT (Only have 5 Band Equalizer , no treble and bass control) and MB Quartz Active Sub and MoHawk Silver Component Speaker with Crossover. (No Amp Setup)

Wish to improve the Treble Sound. IS it add additional Pre-Amp and assist on this or Amplifier with Treble or Bass ?

dun waste ur money on preamp, they r useless.

set ur hu everything off or flat. reduce ur active sub volume, then increase ur hu volume set to ur listening level, then only slowly increase ur active sub volume to match ur component. IMHO for sq setup, not for spl

you can try set your EQ in your HU bro..

Dont use pre amp, it will have distortion and kill the sound.. unless use some high end EQ like audiocontrol and etc..

Basically preamp will have the same eq like ur HU bro.. standard is 5 band..

You may also want to play around with your tweeter directions. The more directly aimed at your head, the more treble you will get. Usually the tweeter should be aimed to cross somewhere around the middle of the dash board, just above the HU or even gear console.
If your cross over has some tweeter gain setting, you can try play around with that too.

Your kenwood DDX515BT Head unit has 7 band EQ. regarding tweeter not enough hit, try move up the 16Khz by +4db... then go to setup -> sound effects and u will see a effect named "STAGE EQ". try change it to LOW / MID / HIGH... focus listen it with your ears and change, don't see the numbers. Go to setup -> crossover and tweak your subwoofer and mohawk mid range speaker. try these setting:

for your component front speaker crossover :
note : turn off your subwoofer or put to the lowest volume when testing this.
TW FREQ = default is at 10Hz....u can try next step is at 12.5Hz (since u feel not enough bright the chik chik chik sound)
HPF FREQ = prefer 80Hz (play your volume up loud to more louder until u hear distortion and then u know that is your max for front. or u can move to 90Hz or 100Hz as well up to your listening)
SLOPE = try set to -6dB......have -6dB / -12dB / -18dB / -24dB (play around with it see which best sound for you or more clear or no distortion)

for your subwoofer crossover :
LPF FREQ = try set to 80Hz, play around between 60Hz - 100Hz. maybe 60Hz u will feel no bass for your MBQ 8 inch, 100Hz maybe u will feel too much of humming bass. see which u prefer.
Slope = usually prefer -24dB (u can try -6dB / -12dB / -18dB) -24dB u will feel the bass 1 biji 1 biji and bounce cut off return back. if -6dB u will feel the bass after the 1 punch it will vibrate longer, the wooing sound.

when kick lai liaw they wanted to tune it up they twist the pre-amp kasi boom

your mohawk silver component need an amplifier to power it up in order for the component to perform.
