Hi all, newbie here. Want to ask a question about component cable. Can we use component cable to connect PS2 to VIERA Plasma tv since it has same port to LCD tv?

QUOTE(gundamalpha @ Oct 7 2010, 03:27 PM) What do you mean by compatible? For PS2 the commonly used cables are composite (yellow), s-video and component (red, green & blue). If you are using anything other than that please list. sorry, my mistake, it's component cable.

QUOTE(gundamalpha @ Oct 7 2010, 03:49 PM) I do believe all Viera plasma have component input, so it shouldn't be any problem using that. I tried it last nite but only hear the sound with no picture at all. Any idea why this happened? Is there any settings I have to change at my tv/PS2?

QUOTE(gundamalpha @ Oct 7 2010, 04:12 PM) Make sure the green is properly connected. Don't think you'd need to change any settings if it worked on other displays before unless the console is reset to display RGB instead of component. You can use composite to get into the menu and check from there if that's the case. Thanks for the advice bro. will try it tonite!! This post has been edited by ruffeyraz: Oct 7 2010, 04:30 PM
