I went to Pet Safari today and I saw another glider inside the cage. This one is super fat! She looks like she's overweight.
The sales assistant told me that this one's about 4-5 months old. |

Lolss. So I take it as they're super crabby?
Did they do the 'attack' pose when you get near to them? |

Ooh! That means Shadow eats mealworms?
That's great news! Now I'll just hope that he can teach Shurie a thing or two about mealies. But first, will have to test that pinky idea of yours. |

Haha. Pinky, sounds cute, if no one knows it's true meaning. It's easier for me to handle because it's not wriggly and crawly like a worm. But I do pity those little rats and mice.

Haha. You don't know how much I miss hearing those crabbing sound. Shurie doesn't seem to crab anymore, and even when she does it, it's only for 1-2 seconds.
Nope, not all suggies need pinkies. But since Shurie's a special case who doesn't take mealworms (and I'm assuming she wouldn't care about crickets too), no choice ler. |

This are the few sounds suggies make.
http://www.sugarglider.net/sounds/sounds.php And I would suggest you do research on their diets and needs as well, they're not like dogs. Suggies have more complicated diet than dogs and they need more attention too. Besides, they're nocturnal so you have to be sure you're able to stay awake till late night to play with them. |

Does that mean that there's something wrong with Shurie?
Even the one at PS looked a little bigger and fatter than Shurie. Shadow is just 2 months old and already he's Shurie's size. |

Poor little Shurie. Guess she needs more protein. So far the only protein she get is from your mix that contains chicken. Sighs. Need to figure out why she dislikes mealies so much.

Ooh, never heard of these types of mealies before.
Nope, never did tried. So far I've only tried giving the superworms and the normal ones. And I doubt it's the chewing problem, I've even tried pulling the mealie's head off, she just ignores it. I'm pretty sure the juice has touched her mouth too, so she should have tasted it. Sighs. She's super weird lar. This post has been edited by snowcandy: Jun 18 2007, 12:07 AM |

Hmm. I'll try with the pinkies first and see how things goes. Then later on, hope Shadow can teach her some tricks about mealworm-eating. xD
If all else fails, I'm gonna let her starve a little then see how she enjoys her mealworms. |

Alamak! Shurie loves my dog's kibbles. She was at my dog's bowl munching on them when I had my back turned. And this isn't the first time she stole some. Found her trying to go under the bed to retrieve some fallen kibbles one time too.
Added on June 18, 2007, 1:10 amThe only reputable seller here I know is Hun herself. But then you'll have to wait until her suggie gives birth first. This post has been edited by snowcandy: Jun 18 2007, 01:10 AM |

Then perhaps you should bring your suggies out with you all the time.
That's what I do to my little Shurie. And normally, I'll spend time with her from the moment I'm awake until I go to bed. That's like, urm, 18 hours or so. |

Hehe. I have classes to attend in college, but most of my lecturers are ok with me bringing my suggie to class. And since Shurie never crabs anymore, she'll just remain quietly inside her pouch or the pocket of my jacket.

Nope, this is how you'll be bonding with your suggie. Carry them around you during the day to get them accustomed to your scent.
And better not let them play with your suggie until after a few days, it might get stressed out and probably die. |

Yeah, most of my lecturers know about Shurie.
And KP brings her to work also, she even sings to Iggy some times. Urm, and I think that having too much stress can cause a glider to die. Not only a glider, actually, but stressing any animal out too much would probably cause it to die. |

Good idea, maybe I should try that on Chansey's kibbles, hopefully it'll increase her appetite and stop Shurie from stealing her food.
