QUOTE(fruitie @ Jul 17 2017, 11:42 PM) Thanks, so it is 75 days. I have set reminder to do it on the 70th day. you could go to a payment kiosk at a digi store to get a replacement card. but your number needs to be active. The thing is the SIM card is not with me as my friend brought it back to China as she was using it in the airport before she flew back. It will be back to my possession next month when my boss collects from her in Beijing. |

QUOTE(chding @ Aug 18 2017, 08:08 AM) I just ported in to Digi Prepaid recently. Just want to ask can I topup the credit to the digi number to extend the validity before it expires ? do you understand what are active and inactive/grace periods? google for "digi sim lifecycle".According to Digi CSO, it has to be topped up on the day of expiry to extend the validity. you can topup anytime before your number is toast. |

QUOTE(chding @ Aug 18 2017, 02:08 PM) The digi CSO said differently. She told me that the credit balance validity will only be extended when reload is done on the expiry day itself. Otherwise no. you probably misheard or misunderstood. bad english perhaps? she could be trying to teach you to maximize the benefit of credit validity gained from topping up on the last day because credit validity doesnt accumulate. For example, credit balance expires on 1st September. I can only reload on 1st September to extend the validity. Otherwise it is just increase the balance and expiry date remains same most, if not all telcos in malaysia work the same. i usually topped up many days or weeks into the grace period. i hope this is not the first time you are using prepaid. |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Aug 18 2017, 02:38 PM) XOX does accumulate credit validity, tested from my dad's SIM. I think probably only they have this, the rest no, all don't accumulate. yes, only xox. xox has a different business model. most telcos harvest prepaid revenue by restricting credit validity and forcing you to topup. with every rm1 of topup giving you 1 day, the telco can guarantee a revenue of rm30 per month from you keeping your number active alone.xox doesn't mind giving you more validity but focuses on making money by enticing you to prepay in large amount with their seasonpasses This post has been edited by kit2: Aug 18 2017, 02:50 PM |

QUOTE(dgboy @ Sep 16 2017, 11:02 PM) the problem isn't with voicemail, but how malaysian telcos charge for voicemail. the charge is based on your current location or last detected location.let say you turn on your phone briefly in japan and then off, all subsequent incoming calls will go into voicemail and you will be charged incoming roaming rates for japan, even if you are back in malaysia but didn't switch on your phone. in other countries, there is no charge to the recipient for calls going into voicemail, you will be billed only when you call and listen to voicemails. in malaysia, you will be billed first regardless whether you pickup and listen to your voicemail later or not. |

Digi 3g and 4g seem to be down. Full bar but data not flowing. Forcing to edge and data works.
Anyone experiencing the same or just me? This post has been edited by kit2: Oct 21 2017, 12:20 PM |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Oct 21 2017, 12:24 PM) Mine is OK now. Just now speed was dragging and I restarted my connection then it came back normal. Albeit, speed drops to 30Mbps now from usual 70-80Mbps. i'm in kepong and the problem started after 10am. since 2pm, 3g started to work, but 4g is still down. I'm in PJ. starting to feel the pain of digi's instability. really need to keep a backup sim from a different telco! |
