I notice some small drains near my neighbourhood got ikan longkang there.

How did they migrate there?

Do you happens to live in Penang? I remember about 15-20 years back government actually release guppies to control aedis mnosquito population there.

in front pantai hospital bus stand..
lots of ikan haruan and big daddy haruans in there. im alwasy so mesmerizing wathing them in the longkang..
how the hell the come there and breed there

this is how fish to escape their enemy, big fish unable to survive in shallow water...
hence it will go up stream to lay egg.

Guppy are very hardy. They also breed very fast. But needs somewhat clean water.

Either from the live plants or fish you bought, the snails could have born from eggs hiding in the plant or fish.

There were a few in my neighbourhood as well.

Most probably came from a nearby river when it flooded.
