You don't sees it often because they are not allowed to dps in raid pre BC, now thanks to healaddin every where stealing our job. We priest can finally do what we do best-- DPS.

just because u have the higher coeffecients doesn't mean your dmg is higher. and EVEN if you do higher dps, u are not helping out others other than just DPS. And even if you can you are mediocore at that. Shadow priests on the other hand provide mana hp and also boost in the shadow dmg, which FACT is the dominant dmg in PVE atm. The only thing that can give it a run for its money is imo, combat dagger rogues.

and then again i doubt very much ur dps is higher. U can check Nihilum's, DnT's, Curse's or other top guilds dps statistics and you will see the top 5 usually being warlocks, and shadow priest... and more oftne now rogues. IF your dps tends to be higher than shadow priests, then you would surely be among the top 5.

It's very much like retardin dps, and protadin tanking 25 mans. MYTH's!

its not a myth, I top dps in 5 man always (when there is a healadin or resto druid). However just like you said, Holy DPS brings no utility so the top guild never bring any holy priest to dps/ heal (how sad is holy priest), as the best buff in the game only need 1 priest, unlike pally with their awesome buff.

If you so happened have a holy pally and priest in your 5 man, try ask the priest to DPS u'll be suprise.

Come on your guys already had so many benefit in WOW but just can't take it when priest can DPS? why don't you complains to Blizz that "ZOMG Priest can HEAL? and DPS? nerf heal please, we have Pally and Druid we dun need priest".

Since Holy Priest had zero place in raid and can't PVP well, and you complain in pve we out dps some class?? can we partition all priest delete their account and Blizz will replace them with pally/druid/shammy?

To you guys priest is just a noob to heal in pve and a free kills in pvp. as I have 2 priest and I commented on priest is not sux at pvp and dps but u guys just like ZOMG wtf priest is useless who plays it is a noob, as (insert class) can (wtfpwnd priest ability) priest is worthless.

As if any priest played WOW will have back up my word but. no, I guess no one is playing a priest here so I'll just leave you guys alone then

And we played priest cause we love to heal. Not because we love to DPS. If you want to DPS play a warlock or Rogue or Mage.

as for the holy vs. shadow war going on, i'd say that it's a lot harder for the holy priest to prove himself.

although it would be something to see when a holy priest use only holy spells against a shadow priest who is using only shadow spells. both not using any healing spells. my bet would be on the shadow priest. when i respec at 60, aiyayai, her DPS is scary.

Agreed. But now that I've started playing a warlock, I'm not going back. Just a bit heartache when I think of how much time I've spent on my priest and how much gold I'm leaving behind in my old server

sichiri also has an alt lock, used to have a main lock too.

on a 5 man? so 1 is a tank, 1 is healing in place of YOU... what's the other 2 you have for dps? elemental shaman? retardin? kitty mew mew? if you ever top the dps against a warlock/mage/combat rogue... i'd say ur party mates needs to go learn more on how to utilize their class. It's not a matter of "We can't stand it when priest dps". Let me ask you this simple question. WHy do ppl respec to shadow for the grind form 60-70 if they can dps in holy and on top of that heal too?

or a more viable question... why do ppl even go shadow for the grind from 1-70 whne they can pew pew more in holy? u dont get shadowform nor the buffed up VE below lvl 40, but why take shadow? Or wait, why not lets say replace all dpsers with holy cos they can not only give "TOP DPS" but also heal.

This is a an even worst arguement than retardins being top dpsers...
and yes, I have played a priest, as a matter of fact it's my main when i started WoW.

and if you were to ask me if i would listen to suggestions from you or any other dellusioned fools who think that retardins can dps, protadins can tank 25 man... or would i listen to top guilds like NA, Nihilum or DnT.. i would choose the latter.

protadins can actually tank and hold aggro, but after a bad experience with them for the first time, never again. rage bar > mana bar.

i just teamed up with a retadin who absolutely refuses to do any healing and wanting to be 2nd on the DPS meter.

How you can solo lvl palladins I have absolutely NO IDEA! Body pull body pull ARGH! I've tried holy then respec retri also hate it. Leaving my palladin to rot and reroll as a lock is the smartest choice of my life. Those who have lv 70 Palladins who lvled up mostly on your own, I pay you homage.

retardins, when played well, produces a good ammount of dps. they just arent preferable in raids cuz:
1) they do better healing
2) other dps classes do better in dps competion which doesnt justify their limited raiding spot
