Most welcome. Pls bare in mind that the places for Tuna Action are very very limited and to have any chance of even securing a place, one would have to be there at a ungodly hour - 3am maybe earlier depending. Good luck and happy travels.

What is tuna action ?

Sorry, Auction..sometimes the auto correct function is just too smart for its own good.  biggrin.gif
*
Actually there is "Tuna action " at the fish market. biggrin.gif

After the auction, the stall staff will demo how to cut the tuna, which part is what etc.

Lucky able to watch 1 of the stall demo cut the Blue fin tuna from Boston, US and record down the proccess.

Wish I can post the video here.

I have a pocket WiFi device.
Just need a SIM card.
*
QUOTE(MR_alien @ Nov 7 2017, 10:17 AM)
i dn't think it works that way
whats your pocket wifi model again?
u can't use a pocket wifi that works here and plug in a japan sim and expect it to work in japan
the band is different
*
Yes you can.

You can rent the sim card and plug into your phone.

Better get a pocket wifi if more than 1 person. The fee perday is quite expensive.

I use this --> https://www.globaladvancedcomm.com/simrent.html

But rent the pocket wifi. Can even get network from the top of the mountain (3G) and in the forest (4G).

i know but can his MIFI support japan's 4G band?...thats the ultimate question im trying to emphasise
having that machine doesn't mean u can plug in any countries' sim and use it everywhere
*
As long as it can 4G/3G. The band is same if 4G/3G.

Want playsafe, rent the pocket wifi from them. Pickup the device from airport. Return back by just drop into the mailbox before check in.

I used to rent Pocket MiFi last time when traveling abroad. Not worth it.
Nowadays you can purchase Pocket MiFi at a very low cost. Just bring it over and buy a SIM card in the country.

For my case, I will reach Haneda Airport quite late (around 10.30pm ~ 11pm).
Doubt I will have the time to go shopping for SIM card... need to rush out to catch the train.

To play safe, better buy it now if available.
*
The pocket mifi is mainly for group which can share many user. That will reduce the cost alot.

But alone? sure not worth it.

The site I use can order advance and pay. Than instruct to collect at the Haneda airport counter which open 24hr.

I'll remove Osaka from my next trip. next time I'll fly in Osaka straight go kyoto. really ruined my trip. we were at the Osaka wet market buying scallops and these two honkies cut our line and we found out the last two grilled scallops were sold to the brilliant ladies who cut our line.

so far Tokyo was awesome, same with hakone and koyasan. kyoto was...too touristy

ah that we did. we went cafe hopping over at orange street and shinsaibashi. really worth it esp in autumn weather. so I'll definitely do less tourist and temples and more coffee stuff
*
Look for the local tourist place. I mean the local people go.

Not the google type that tell you 5star or this good, that good.

Get out from the city.

Can't you check online?

You have to learn how to see the temperature and weather condition when in 4 season country.

It is important.

hakone:-
just to share

I buy the hakone free pass in malaysia and exchange the ticket at the counter at shinjuku station. I tot that i will get 1st train to hakone but i was wrong because the sales office to exchange the ticket open at 830 which make me have to take another train at 10am..

so moral story if u aiming to take 1st train, get ur ticket change ( real ticket) before travel date.
*
Relax lar. It is a holiday. Not working.

Just go to the counter and buy the romancer car ticket. The journey is short. Enjoy the scenery.

Beside very hardworking, Main reason was house loan.

In Malaysia house loan maximum 40 years. In Japan house loan can go up to 2 Generation. This one have to work until cannot work anymore than son/daugther take over and continue paying house loan or Bank will take over and sales as auction.

One more thing was Japan are earthquake country, every times earthquake strike, hosue will damage. Need to work to get money for repair house/ buy new furniture / new electronics ...etc etc....

Earthquake was natural disaster. Insurance will not cover it. So your car / house damage in earthquake wlll not be cover.

20 Years, eatquake damage my car 6 times. 4 times are total lost. I have to buy new car again without insurance claim....no work how to get money buy car?
*
Japan house is not that expensive if it not in tokyo.

My teacher built his own house the size of 1500sqft only cost RM600k with the land on top the mountain.

My colleague redo his house double storey on his farther land in fukushima is only RM360k.

What is expensive is the house tax. Even you have to pay the parking space in your home in tokyo area.

What area you are in till damage 6x your car ?

One total lost at Sendai Tohoku earthquake. The rest are 6 - 7 magnitude earthquake at Tokyo / Chiba / Saitama and car was parked at those automatic system carpark. Quake so strong until car fall off from car holder inside the car parked system.

I also total lost a car while driving on slippery winter road. It almost kill me. Since this accident, I no longer driving when winter time.
I got a house which is 1 hour away from Tokyo City but address still Tokyo. House installment was Rm16000 per month (convert Yen to RM)  X 40 Years installment
House size similar to sinchan ...double story houses with car park.
*
But earthquake shiok wor. biggrin.gif

I encounter a 6.8 earthquake at Fukushima in 2014. 11th flr hotel at night. Feeling like sleep in a baby craddle. The rest is small tremor in tokyo.

How much house tax you have to pay every year?
