Train station will mainly have the major attractions stated on the board, and from there follow the Exit to get out. After that you're pretty much on your own.
On and off, some izakayas do have English menu but a lot still goes without English menu.

Not just izakaya but quite a number of ramen places and restaurants are in nihongo.

Have been to so many times in Japan, language always not an issue
Having different kind of experience due to language

Go in a udon shop, no English menu, staffs don’t know English
Customers inside the restaurant help to complete the order

In a countryside place, meet a 90 years old grandma, using single word + body language having a Long chat
This is so special experience

I wasn't realize this until u mention it. I double check the booking process and Yes, the drop off charges wasn't mention but upon payment stage where i need to key in credit card details then it pop-up. Thanks a lot for the info notworthy.gif

It seems like no one would encourage the ideas of renting a car. after consideration i think i will drop the idea. thanks again

Actually driving in Japan is fun, just don’t drop your car from one place to another place

Only the first 2 trips I take public transport
Now when ever I go I drive myself, bcos I like to go places where tourists don’t go or less access
