It is an ICO for GigaWatt tokens called WTT to acquire the rights to host your mining machines there.

You can either buy your own miners, or buy them from Gigawatt and they will host it for you.

You need to buy the number of tokens that correspond to the total wattage of your miners.

It is definitely not cloud mining.

You own the miners, not GigaWatt.

If you are looking at the GigaWatt website, the L3+ is out of stock.

It is actually not out of stock.

You have to buy WTT tokens first and contact their Support Team at support@giga-watt.com
telling them you want to buy the L3+.

I bought my two L3+ this way. biggrin.gif

I bought my Gigawatt WTT tokens a few days back.

You buy them according to the wattage of your miner/s.

The L3+ has a wattage of 800W. Plus 10% = 880W

For two L3+, the combined wattage is 1,760W.

I bought 2,020 tokens, enough to cover the 2 L3+.

The extra tokens I can rent them out to other miners who do not have tokens.

Ah, no wonder. Thanks. Was checking GigaWatt last week. All marked as sold out.

So u got 2K token. Which is cheap to host 2 L3+..
*
Yes, I bought 2,020 tokens just to have a bit extra to cover the 1760W of my two L3+.

So,. It's for electric charges.
Buying. L3+ is another 50 LTC each.

So basically, using my kampung calculator, total cost for 2 L3+ and hosting+electricity is 102 LTC for Miner and 2000$ h+e
Bringing TCO about 260LTC
*
Where got so much?

2,020 tokens = USD2,222 at 1.10 each.

One L3+ - 51 litecoin. Therefore, two units = 102 litecoin.

Have u paid for L3+
No right, u still need to fork out 102 LTC for 2 units.

Or I'm wrong?

U use your token for hosting.

2000$ for hosting+electricity, lifetime or a year?
*
I have paid for my two L3+ with 102 LTC.

Tokens are used to offset facilities RENTAL.

You still pay for electricity and maintenance as mentioned by denimblue.

The duration of the tokens is RENTAL-free for 50 years.

Please read in more detail their white paper at the website if you are really interested.

So if I understand this correctly

Investment - $3,800/ RM16,000
1. L3+ : US$2,800
2. WTT Token for 880W: ~US$1,000

Monthly Return - 504 MHz
1. Output: 0.8 LTC/ day @ US$50 = $1,200/month
2. Electricity: 800W x 24 hours x 30 days x US$0.033/kWh = $20/month

3-4 months breakeven at current output rate?

But Bitmain is selling the GPU at US$1,370 only. Does it make sense to just DIY?

https://shop.bitmain.com/productDetail.htm?...58538J49cKq063A
*
Bitmain's price does not include the PSU and shipping costs.

GigaWatt is in the U.S., not in China where Bitmain is.

You try to buy the full set from Bitmain, have them ship it to you and see how much it costs? smile.gif

Ya US$1,370 is old price, new price for end-Sept shipment is US$2,100/ 40 LTC. Both before PSU
*
I paid 102 LTC for two L3+, including PSU and shipping to the U.S. smile.gif

The price of LTC when I bought it was around $50, so the USD price then is $5,100 for two units, or $2,550 each.

Very good capital appreciation.

With the strong upward potential of litecoin, I invested in the two L3+ miners to mine litecoins everyday. laugh.gif

I just bought Antminer L3+ 504 Mh/s from Bitmain today.  biggrin.gif

Antminer L3+ = 40 LTC / $ 2136
PSU              = $115
Shipping DHL = $ 91.08
Total              = $ 2342.08

Shipping out date Sept 21 to 30

Previous July batch was only $ 1370. They jack up the price to $2100 because LTC price increase and become profitable.

You can buy now at cheaper price because LTC price drop slightly compared to this morning.

Congratulations! rclxms.gif

Thanks, I saw you bought 2 unit ofL3+ to be hosted at giga-watt warehouse.

Only after that, i checkout bitmain for the L3+ availability.  biggrin.gif
*
Gigawatt charges 51 LTC for the L3+ which includes PSU and shipping from China to the U.S.
So they make a small profit from their customers who orders from them. smile.gif

I too looked into bitmain L3+ after rayman earleir post
in the afternoon the bitmain site was soo laggy,
was also considering Innosilicon A4 Dominator as an alternative, but specs are not good.

http://www.innosilicon.com/html/a4-miner/

Chelsea-Fan
how did you pay, by visa? or did you buy btc from luno, convert to ltc and pay bitmain?

im currently undecided weather i should get gigawatt to host for me or host it myself.
raynman i though bitmain is in the usa are their machinese manufactured in china?
also if i buy WTT token, i just need to email them re L3+ and pay them 51 LTC for the L3+ no need to deal with bitmain?
lastly how did you pay for WTT and the L3+? visa? or crypto via luno?
Seems im still having issue with my genesis purchase
*
Yes, Bitmain is a Chinese company.

Where did you get the idea that they are in the U.S.?

user posted image

You pay for the L3+ in LTC, that is correct.

But that is subject to stock availability, and the 21st to 30th Sep shipment batch is being snapped up very fast.

I am lucky to get 2 units.

Yes, you don't need to deal with Bitmain if you order the L3+ from GigaWatt.

I paid for my WTT tokens with bitcoin and my two L3+ with 102 LTC.

Yes, you were wrong.

You said total cost is 260 LTC.

Here is the proof.

Hi what if let say few months later can we sell the miner? or can we just go to their warehouse and take it back (since we own it)?  blink.gif

And their website doesnt mention anything about token needed. It say "Payments are deducted from daily BTC mining returns"
Do we really must buy token? im so confuse confused.gif  blink.gif

Please go over to my cloud mining thread to read further details of the GigaWatt project.

It is too lengthy to talk about it here.

This is not the right thread to discuss about remote mining through hosting miners.

zamans98

This announcement from GigaWatt just came in my mailbox.

The asking price of this Innosilicon A5 (30.2 GH/s) is $10,599! sweat.gif

I better stick with my Antminer D3 (15 GH/s) at $3,199. smile.gif

No, I won't buy, reasons is
Expensive vs Bitmain D3. 15GH Bitmain is 3K, 30 is 6K..
MOQ is 3 units
BTC exchange they ask is 23xx.

Did u managed to get D3.? It was a flash sale for a day, 2 hours sold out.
*
I missed the D3 flash sale.

You are right, the Innosilicon A5 at $10,599 is not worth it on a pricer per GH/s.

I will just wait for the new batch of D3. I already got the WTT token for it. smile.gif
