Just curious, any forumer here working in Sime Darby? I have heard a lot about GLC companies but I don't really have an idea about the pros and cons. Basically I'll be starting myself in their management trainee program. The fact is that I've resigned from a executive post and 'downgrade' myself to a trainee with only training allowance paid. So, I will be 'pok kai' for the next 6 months with so little money to survive. cry.gif Anyway if anyone here happen to work or have friends working in it please share the experience with me. Thanks! smile.gif

Hey, I'm under Heavy Equipment Division. Anyway I heard they've been doing very well especially for the China market. Hopefully I'll get the chance to work in China someday as my post is actually for the Malaysia and China Operation. Ah.. can't wait to start the program! Damn imagine u got the offer on end of Feb but the program starts at May. Isn't that too long for someone to wait?? shakehead.gif

Gosh.. the last time I started this thread was on 2007, time really flies huh?

Anyway, to recap, I've joined SD for more than 2 years and I'm happy about it. No regret joining. Nevertheless, I really look forward to the new SD HQ in Ara Damansara, as my current working location is just too far.. : (

As for office politics, this exist in EVERY company ok? I consider myself to be lucky working under great bosses. They taught me a lot and I really appreciate tat!

To sum things out, yes, SD is certainly a 'not bad' company to work with.
