What is this?
Just like Handbrake, Xilisoft Video Converter.
With Queue, Subtitle, Attachment, multi-stream support... more...

Why I create this?
Before nVidia ShadowPlay, AMD Gaming Evolve and AMD ReLive exist, I build for automate video compression of my FRAPS library. My friend ask to build software like others, so I am smile.gif

Why use CPU encoder?
user posted image
Because GPU meant for Real Time, not offline keeping...

System Requirement
x86 Processor with AVX, AVX2 instruction set, check CPU-Z. Having AVX512 is bonus!
16GB of RAM if you plan to 4K encoding...
80GB of Scratch Disk (Temp) if you plan to rip BD

Also no 32-bit, only 64-bit build!

IFME.exe can be run on Linux using Mono Runtime (NOT WINE) and native linux binary plugins encoder, this need build by your self... sorry...

About:
This converter will convert your video to latest version of codec
Capable to shrink video size up-to 50% then previous generation (H.264/AVC)

Also using powerful Opus Audio codec, basically this next gen of AAC and OGG, has voice and music hybrid support, meaning... can optimized for voice to make lower size possible and music optimized...

It using MKV container, can attach subtitle and font for styling smile.gif
*If you have anime collection in MKV, this can transfer to new codec with much smaller in file size while maintain quality! Dont worry about losing embedded stuff on MKV smile.gif

Proof of concept:
Test 4K encoding, same settings! Courtesy: IFME Facebook Page
Original: 79.9 MB (83,836,482 bytes)
Old: 38.4 MB (40,345,268 bytes)
New: 23.9 MB (25,155,477 bytes)

Download Test File: Original | Current Gen Codec | Next Gen Codec
Playback, I use K-Lite Codec Pack Mega, using LAV to decode. VLC having issue to play next gen codec.

Requirement:
OS: Linux (Ubuntu 14.04, etc...) and Windows (Vista & above)
CPU: Having AVX Instruction Set, at least have SSE4a
Note: Having more CPU core not mean your computer is faster, this converter heavily depending on CPU Instruction Set, to check, use CPU-Z to see, more Instruction Set = Faster CPU processing, it use latest calculation and algorithm that CPU support... SSE4a known as LZCNT on AMD CPU

This program just save my disk space, imagine 12 episode of anime (3GB become ~740MB!) rclxms.gif

Download: Linux and Windows, Just read that page!

Hi guys, was wondering, for MeGUI and this, which apps will perform better? (E.G. decode video with smaller filesize but similar in quality)

IFME is pretty new in the market, but A lot people satisfy with it... eliminate complexity.
Take note that IFME using CPU, because only CPU capable giving smaller file size and higher quality compared with OpenCL/Intel QuickSync are not.

IFME always follow latest encoder upstream, every-time you launch, IFME check encoder version and perform update and ready to use, pretty fast and hassle free smile.gif

Version 4.9 is out!

It has a lot positive review.
IFME using unmodified binaries and native compiler, this ensure provide highest speed.

if you using Intel, you can change encoder! unlike handbrake.
by default IFME using GCC 4.9.1, support AMD and Intel or any x86 CPU
you can use encoder that using Intel C Compiler (ICC), it give higher boost on Intel,

simply download: http://chromashift.org/x265_builds/ and replace... smile.gif

Very flexible.

what is the supported video formats? will the resulting video playable on android phone?? (I use MX Player because it supports scrolling mouse to change volume/brightness, something that VLC on Android fails - VLC don't even know I use physical mouse on my phone)

btw, will this get ported to Android somehow? I know most programs are not available for Android but it's not hurt to ask... 😂 I could survive until I have enough money to repair my laptop because at least I have Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint on my phone... and Adobe Reader, Photoshop... games like GTA San Andreas for Android etc... but it will be great if I could reencode my anime files which is stored in phone itself and pendrives...

YES!!!

Oh... is Debian supported? can use on VPS?

I might use my VPS (usually I use for testing purpose / sometime hosting Minetest server) to help me reencode if it can be used on it...

HEVC/H.265 need strong CPU if phone don't have hardware decoder.

code is written entirely for x86 CPU, ARM CPU can't run unless doing some emulator, but this will lose some performance.

I build IFME as static as possible, just need Mono Runtime and good to go

Downloading now. Does your software have any advantage over Handbrake?

I'm currently using Handbrake to sync audio and video from smartphone recording, smartphone recording is nasty.

What does this "add more video stream" refer to? Not queuing tasks, right?

after you add one file into main queue, you can add another video stream in same file,
for example: 24fps and 60fps videos into single mkv/mp4 file. most converter won't allow this. MPC-HC can switch video stream

Why don't you just create a new thread? Since you're the developer of the program, having own thread also will give you notification when someone posted in it. Maybe some will post to ask questions.

Does your program have fdk-aac for audio? Can it encode 10bit too?

smaller file? combine like:
1. ep1.mp4 + ep2.mp4 = eps.mp4
2. stream #0: ep1, stream #1: ep2 = eps.mp4

1. concatenate (longer hour, require to build chapter)
2. multi stream (must same length)

which?

It's has been a long time I didn't release an update,
I been keeping my code too long, just afraid of bug and sad user my software didn't work, so...

I been developing alone IFME since 2012, and 2013 become public...
without asking help on any forum, that is why IFME already in version 8

because I keep re-code from scratch when code become unmaintainable xD

I feel this version 8 should be stable!
