99% of the forumer's rig here won't breach 300W lor.

It does makan a little bit more electricity.... melts the polar ice cap a lil bit more.... drown the Maldives a lil bit more...

In the sense that most psu have a efficiency range between 40-70% thereabout... so if you draw too little.. too much power will be wasted as heat.

It won't be much in terms of $$$ but think of the furry lil animals

Marketing talk and again..that depends on the range.

My rig draws 160W idle and peak around 209W (which ppl spend the most time downloading pron or surfing for it) measured from the wall.

So if I use the 1000W Galaxy...I'm only getting ~77% efficiency which means 49W is wasted as heat

But let's say I use a more efficient psu like the Seasonic S12... at the same 160W-209W range.. I'm getting 87% efficiency.

In this case.... I only lose out 28W.

= 21W difference.

This is enough to power my pron rig which draws 21W idle or that light that your mom always reminds you to turn off to jimat elektrik.

Usually SPCR's psu reviews are much better than the usual "test with hardware and pop screen shot saying prime stable" so called "reviews" that other sites do.

As for the 21W... that's the PrON rig ... specs as per my siggy.
