jimlim007,

look at the bright side, it's only your PSU got kong off..  enermax is one of the good brands for PSU.
rumor has it that enermax PSU can stop sudden surge without causing damage to other parts etc.. mobo, ram, proc, HDD and the list goes on. in another words it sacrifice itself.
correct me if i'm wrong.
as i was saying, look at the bright side, it's only your PSU RM 285, what IF your mobo + proc +.... got fry ... =   >RM285

I totally disagree.

For mine psu issue not involved lightning strike. So, at you said, Enermax must have it's bottom line level to satisfy their fans at least can opearation for couple year lah. Not to say less than 6 months. That is very horrible and terrible.

What for spend rm285 go bought a psu can only survive for couple of months only. And what happen when mine current RM48 psu Kingmax can survive more than Enermax.

I am for sure agreed Enermax is one of the famous brand for PSU. That is why i bought Enermax instead of Cool Master RM300 or Antec ot etc.

Hmm.....really dissappointed of Enermax's supreme performance. Haha, it is went to "Holland" for vocation after operation couple of months sweat.gif

Yes. The pc shop owner said need 1 month at less.

So, me have to waste 1 month streamyx usage RM66 + RM26 one month billing. And I am the kind of usr that can't survive without pc even in one day sweat.gif

Nowadays wee see that the current hardware uses more power each day. Those times where a 300W PSU should be more then enough is long gone.

It seems that the hardware manufacturer especially the video card/GPU and some CPU maker also doesnt care enough on the power consumption as long as it can deliver super high performance with their card. Rarely we seen an advertisment that says "New 9900GTX super fast performance with only 50W power consumption!" since the consumer itself doesnt bother much about the energy they waste. And they could care less since the power consumption is still considered small compare to Air Conditioner and Refrigerator.

But when is this more power more performance theory will go on? Do we really need a video card that eat 500W of power? Maybe in future some Computer organization should draw a line on the maximum power consumption on several parts of the computer like the FIA did with Formula One Engine, example maximum power usage of graphic card is 100W per card. And with that, GPU manufacturer will mostly competing on making a high performance card and yet low power consumption that will surely benefit our eco system.

Therefor this will surely benefit us consumer interms of electricity bills and dont have to buy new PSU unit when new graphic card is launched as well as saving those furry lil animals from extinction. smile.gif

Hmm...i use core 2 duo e6600, very saving power leh. Enermax FMA II sweat.gif still went to "holland"
