yup yup
most of us definitely wont need tat Galaxy 1kw psu 4 our rigs... but as far as IT goes...every manufacturer will push d limits with their tech/products... & every end-users/enthusiast would most often wanted 2 know bout greatest hardwares...even though they wont own 1... rite? we cant b goin backwards on IT technology rite??? wat Enermax was doin all this while is to show tat they're d very very very few among all those PSU out there tatz really TRUE in performance&power!!! agree??? not only their whooping Galaxy 1kw...but other series they have r also GREAT, POWERFUL/ STABLE & RELIABLE... haha..i wont deny tat i'm an Enermax user as well la... Added on March 27, 2007, 7:45 pm QUOTE(jcliew @ Mar 27 2007, 07:41 PM) itz not only about how high d wattage is... other aspects hav 2 b taken into consideration s well: reliability & stability r some of it!!!s far s workstations/servers/ rigs tat r operating 24/7 (almost 365) This post has been edited by hybrid_monster: Mar 27 2007, 07:45 PM |

aiya ppl...
using a 1kW psu on a lower wattege rig WONT INCREASE UR BILLS!!! Duh it simply means tat the 1kW PSU can handle up to tat much load... besides, a good PSU like Enermax has high efficiency level..meaning less % of power loss...meaning save on electricity..meaning lower electricity bill.... sure not all of us need a 1kW Galaxy...tatz y there r other range to b choose from..tatz y got Enermax Infiniti/Liberty/FMA II...tatz y got Liberty user like me around.... Lotsa ppl think Enermax is more expensive...well, i think slightly only.. BUT it worth every single RM$ spend... i said so cuz i've tried myself few other brands OR non-branded cap ayam PSU..which no mood 2 comment further la..sigh... |

QUOTE(sniper on the roof @ Mar 30 2007, 01:40 PM) Marketing talk and again..that depends on the range. hey bro,My rig draws 160W idle and peak around 209W (which ppl spend the most time downloading pron or surfing for it) measured from the wall. http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...dpost&p=8605105 So if I use the 1000W Galaxy...I'm only getting ~77% efficiency which means 49W is wasted as heat But let's say I use a more efficient psu like the Seasonic S12... at the same 160W-209W range.. I'm getting 87% efficiency. http://www.silentpcreview.com/article247-page4.html In this case.... I only lose out 28W. = 21W difference. This is enough to power my pron rig which draws 21W idle or that light that your mom always reminds you to turn off to jimat elektrik. how come u calculte Galaxy with ~77% effeciency only? actually it runs @ 80-8% efficiency from 20% to 100% full load... u said ur rig draws only 21W idle???walao...sure ah? share with us ur sys specs la...IF u dun mind |

QUOTE(jimlim007 @ Mar 31 2007, 12:11 AM) Enermax go hell lah. haha...cool down la brother... mine FMA II 460w RM285 use less than 6 months now went to "Holland" already. Regret to bought Enermax. No more next time, sorry for enermax. i totally agree with Point Blanc there....think bout wat would happen if u r using a cap-ayam/normal PSU....how much damage it'll b then??? but cant blame u as most ppl's mindset r simply set @ "i paid so much 4 this product...it should've work till i'm 80yrs old or smtg...!!!" RITE??? IMO tatz way tooooo naive... Do find out more bout safety features included in a good PSU like Enermax... such as OVP, OCP, UVP, SCP, OTP...list goes on... |

if smtg goes wrong within few mths...still can send back 2 warranty ma..Enermax gives 3yrs...
so many comments...bad&good...i think each case differs la... though there were a few frm d unlucky bunch who'd faced some problems (but can we really solely blame it all on d PSU...???)...still there's lotsa lucky ppl who's very satisfied with d PSU... &i'm 1 of those lucky ones...lol~ |
