QUOTE(arjuna_mfna @ Mar 28 2007, 02:38 PM) icic.. did what the max watt if someone hv ring like this: pardonning your typo's, I'd say for this rig, it'll barely sweat even if you installed a 500W PSU anyway. After all, C2D has designed max TDP of 65W. Not to mention DDR2 using lower volatages, the ancillaries using a few watts each, and the 8800GTS? 175W, max.... (Theoretical, would be less in real life)e6600 asus p5n-e sli 8800gts 2gb ram 250gb hdd dvdrw fan lil mod(led) did it reach 300watt or over it |

Reliable is questionable as I've noticed lots of Enermax's giving tons of headaches to owners here and overseas. But I'm willing to give benefit of the doubt if less and less people are going to complain about it.

QUOTE(point blanc @ Mar 28 2007, 08:25 PM) if it states that the PSU is 1kW, does that means it draws 1kW of power constant even though we use... say...400watts? or does it only draw 400 watts (the amount that we use) and the maximum it can supply is 1kW?? fortunately, first assumption is wrong. 1kW will be the average maximum power deliverable available to system. So if your rig draws a maximum of 300W, that PSU will only deliver maximum 300W to your PC. So second assumption is correctquite confusing as some say electricity bill goes up and things like that.. regards, point blanc |
