Anyone has tried to ask SC whether the display unit firmware can be upgraded?

1. Loud grinding noise due to CVT. need to change transmission, but apparently no effect on durability on transmission. Just noisy. A bit hard to request to change warranty.
2. Noise is due to VSA modulator. Need to update VSA firmware. Worst case, change VSA modulator.

Bro, do you know whether SC will charge anything for just bringing my car to them to check and resolve the above 2 issues? I have already done my 20k service last month.

Updates

Brought to SC for the above. I told them many users from a reputable forum has the similar issues and he asked me not to believe forum lol. Recorded the sound of tick tick tick on slow uneven road and let them hear. Didn't bother much, said will check. Tried to restart my engine few times can't hear the grinding sound, maybe too noisy there.

Car collected and was told they have done some reset -> Done reset DTC code (was written in the job sheet)

What does "Done reset DTC code" means?

So far, have not heard any tick tick tick sound yet, but engine grinding noise during startup still exist ocassionally.

Anyone knows can I mute the sound of Apple Car Play so that the sound will come from iPhone instead? Eg playing soongs or google maps.

FYI, my 1.5TC showed engine oil life 9800km on the same day I collected my car.

Everyone will start with A. No, according to andyshim89 his car also started with "-----" when he first collected the car. After driving the car for a few thousand KM, the oil life balance numbers came out.

Apparently in the manual, it's stated that the car is learning the driving behaviour of the driver.

No, when I first collected my new car and checked the meter, it neither shows A nor B. Just shown the 9800km oil life. Then came 1500km oil life and the 'A' popped up. After my first 10k oil change, the 'B' straight away popped up when received my car from SC. Now 20k+ mileage show 'A'. Are the A/B indicators as per you guys?

Engine grinding (technically it's CVT Pressure Control Valve vibrating), you need to turn off your car for at least 30-45 minutes after driving around for it to appear. Not turn off and on again in quick succession. Did they reset your VSA modulator? And next time you don't mention forum laaa... Just say your friend went to another SC with the same problem and they updated the VSA modulator firmware.

DTC means Diagnostic Trouble Code.
9800km when picking up your car after servicing? They idled your car for a long time I guess?

Yes, I did told SC updated the VSA modulator firmware, but he seems not bother or don't know. BTW, which SCs in Klang Valley are familiar and able to update the VSA firmware? I might want to try there. I think they just reset DTC code and not sure anything done to the VSA. But so far, didn't hear any tick tick tick sound....

9800km was during my check on the oil life maybe a day after I have collected my new car.
