I'm getting a DSL very soon and Im really confused between the esey to use and more potable D40 and the fast 350D,,

The thing I don't like about the 350D is its handling! it's not comfortable at all ! and the small LCD,

And the thing about the D40 is the auto focus thingy,though Im thinking to get just one additional lens, telephoto for portrait

I cant make up my mind seriously !!

Anyway I have my dad's canon lenes they are back to 80s and I wonder if I can use them with the 350D ? this will be a big advantage but how would they perform anyway ?




The lenses are not with me now as Im not with my family,,

Thank you guyz so much for all the information,

I know about the LCD is only for playback and sittings,,and yeah this is the only drawback in DSLR's ,,but Olympus has just made a live LCD !

I'll get a d40 and AF-S telephoto lens if I find a good deal,,
