The F2P in Dauntless needs to be even more attractive than just founder packs to combat this now. And I'm happy for that as a consumer. Screw founder packs.

yeah the founder pack really holding people back, and this announcement just make it harder. depends on Capcom to actually pull it off.

Well for those who never actually buy games i'm pretty sure they will play Dauntless still. But yeah compare that game and MH haha, whole different level tho.

Also would be interesting if there is cross play, so I can buy it on PC and play with other friends on PS and etc.

And those people are getting rarer day by day. As long as shits like nier (on PC) didn't happen, I can see MH still getting the better player base. At least you know it's the franchise that Dauntless is trying to take away from to appeal the western crowd. Backed by bigger company and promising delivers before. Some people still haven't even heard of Dauntless as of today so their marketing needs some step up as well. I mean I'm all for supporting indie devs but founder packs with perks really turns some people off. Myself for eg.

Monster Hunter is too underappreciated. Although World might be all new experience, but I still hold on the hype for it, I actually look forward to this more compare to Anthem.

Actually I also abandon ship oledi , I've been grinding with a top 3 guild, and yes it has become a very grindy game without any value and fun in hunting anymore, they totally change and mess up the game I think, no point staying.
Recently no mmorpg that tick my interest, been on bang bang for quite some time, hopefully MHW is worth my time.

You do know Dauntless is inspired by Monster Hunter itself. Didn't even do well. MHW isn't open world. There is just no loading times when going hunting from different areas tho.

I sold my PS4 version. lol. 300 hours in and i am freaking burned out. But I know people can spend 1000 hours + in it. Just hunt, hunt, hunt, rinse and repeat.

The game is beginner friendly. Mastering different weapons take time but it's also about learning how the monster pattern of attack is and etc. Require a lot of time. I knowany new player were hooked after trying it for the first time. It's fun and challenging and grindy.

There are events, seasonal events and etc in the game. And some monsters appear at different times. So the game will last quite a long time. There will be updates of new monsters as well. So there will be a lot to do.

MHW is a long game. There is a story and also there is a lot of upgrades, armor set, and other end game stuff in the game. Lots of upgrading if that is your thing. A variety monsters, sizes, and also there is a tougher version when you are at endgame content. Low rank, high rank, and etc. If you want a long game I think this is great, but ofc a little grindy, but the monsters are fun each time you battle. Each encounter felt different.

I usually play as much as 600 hours plus per new series. The PS4 MHW i played was around 200 hours plus only because I want to play it on PC after this.

Just cosmetics mostly. For me not worth it much. The game doesn't sell dlcs much. They are mostly just selling emotes as dlc. The rest are free.

in dauntless... enter lobby.. select a map... find the monster... kill it.. back to lobby. thats all...

Kill, back to lobby, kill back to lobby. Not really open world per say. There's a expedition mode for you to explore different maps. But if you expect a game like The Witcher 3 or Skyrim you will be disappointed.

You can't apply those vouchers on new games.

Don't think there will be one. There isn't even a plan for open beta, since console users has tested it last time.

problem with GMG? i made quite a number of purchase from GMG, not all completely trouble free, but their CS is good, they resolve matters quickly. May want to check with them since there are couple of similar cases here. Then again, the game is another month away

you cannot get refund from steam, it has nothing to do with steam

you only can get refund from gmg before they release the key

Any difference between purchasing from gmg and directly from Steam? Is there some sort of region lock going on between the two?
