when we press the h-fi button, anything will lit up on the lcd? when i press it, i don't fell anything difference at all. or it only work if we use aux input? i'm using spdif input. On thing i notice, the rear speaker sound not as clear as the front speaker. perhaps is due to the long wire it use?
*
hifi mode only usable when using switching to 2.1 mode and using aux input only. there nothing lit up when switching the mode. think of hifi mode as 2.1 enhancing mode. example like you are inputting tv sound to the enzo, and you notice that the 5.1 upmix aent satisfying as the sound will be totally go into the center speaker, other speker also have sound but very very low. this is when the 2.1 mode + hifi mode come in handy.

the enzo rear speaker doesn't really clear, you gotta put it very close at your side. or if you connect it to the pc, you should be able to control each speaker volume. set the rear speaker more higher than front and center, this way it should be balance the sound. in my case, i use the three wire of 3.5mm jack that have 2rca plug at the end. and then i connect the rca to the dvd input. note that if i use the optical or the sdif, i wont be able to control the each speaker volume.

evilguy, do you use speker stand? if you expeiment with rear speaker, at different height you will hear differently. best if the same of you ear when sitting .

claim your warranty first if its still in the warranty period. enzo 7000 really test out buyers luck, my subwoofer is out right after the warranty period is over, if there is any faulty just claim your new one.

if its over try switching though various input mode, lets just hope that your reciever doesnt have any problem.

if you really wanted to confirm where the hiss is coming from try plugging in your headphone. if you still hear the hiss then its maybe your reciever being faulty. next try connecting the output to to any other speker like your tv for example. if hiss still coming out then this can assure that the problem with the reciever.

you never know unless you ask and force them to claim new one, be sure to tell them how you're dissapointed too. tell them the problem that you're having, just like you told us. . remember we paid rm4++ for a good speaker, not some faulty speaker. and i learn that the hard way..

so is there actually a way to activate the rock or classic mode after you got the manual mr jingozz?

my enzo7000 sub have been spoiled, and im left with all the speaker and the decoder only. so you better careful with the sub.

other than that i'm thinking to replace the sub drive with the ice sub, gotta try it during semester break

really, after getting all my sonic gear product break including enzo7000 price at rm530, i just stay away from sonic gear speaker. they have serious quality issue, which their reliability is very low. "hey look, i just dump my rm500 in the drain!" vmad.gif

if you're ready to cash out some cash out like rm100 or more, i advice people to buy other speaker like logitech, edifier, altec lansing or other brand. i learned that from the hard way vmad.gif

for enzo7000 the i can said that both sub and the decoder are dependent on each other.

for its power supply, it goes like this
ac outlet-> sub -> decoder
i have broken sub where the bass wont come out, so im left with the decoder. thinking on the positive side, im just happy that the digital external decoder plus amp which is the real gold here are fine. i can just use the satellite wand combine with other 2.1 speaker to as substitute for the bass unit.
though im need still bound to carry on the huge dead sub because the power for the decoder flow from the sub unit.

now the other day, after an unused period of 2 month or so i start checking back the sub if it have been better. turn out now my decoder have 'click' and poof. there goes my last hope.so with the "brain" is dead, the enzo7000 is no more. so i'm left with the small satellite speaker which is... small.

still looking on the bright side, im thinking salvaging the bass speaker for ICE.

no problem as long as the impedance is the same. should be... but since probably the enzo sub has lower power rating than the amp, the sound wouldnt be so fantastic. any pic of the back of sub?
*
not too clear
voltage ac220-240v/50hz
power output 170w
the wire to the decoder: ac18v/4a

I believe the quality control is as bad as the design as well. I hope sonic gear fan will not shoot me for that statement  sweat.gif

Better if we assemble sonic gear awareness club rather than sonic gear fan club. As a user we should help others aware of how poor the sonic gear products are. this should help other users when they are searching information to buy a product from sonic gear. In return we hope that sonic gear know the experience of users who have bought products from them.

dear rayblade,
you have misread the information thus mislead by the advertisement and buy the speakear believing it got usb audio input.

the speaker actually use the usb as a power source only, not to transfer signal. you will need the 3.5 cable comes with it.

only speaker that i actually know using usb to transfer signal is the one of altec 7.1 speaker... or is it creative, i dont remember which

i suggest that you save your expense to repair the sonic gear speaker to buy another speaker brand which is more durable. i have enzo7000 that cost rm530. the sub blew up and i went to repair it, cost me rm80. after some time, the problem reoccur plus now the decoder also blew up.

now total up rm530 plus rm80, and i can buy high quality and durable speaker.

For you and people who bought it during PC fair, isn't that you have a receipt for your purchase? doh.gif
Refer to the address in the receipt if you wanted to claim your warranty.

Guys.... Do anyone know where can I get the Sonic Array 2000?
And is it be used with MP3? (AUX in or something)
*
sonic gear array is made with concept of Yamaha virtual surround. instead of using 5 speaker to produce s channel, it use small speaker but in large number to project the sound to the wall to create the surround sound.
But in sonic gear case, it is doubt that you can get the surround sound feeling especially in uncontrolled environment. i wonder how many speaker actually inside sonic gear array. as what have been found in speaker discovery channel, maybe its just full of fake tweeter inside it shocking.gif ...
i doubt sonic gear array can create the so call surround sound.

if you looking for speaker with aux in, many edifier speakers line have those m1335, m1350, m1335f. it have aux at the volume control pod.

but if you're looking for vitual surround speaker, playworks2000 by CAMBRIDGE SOUNDWORKS thumbup.gif can process and emulates Dolby digital 5.1 cause it have optical in, with EAX and a certified DOLBY VIRTUAL speaker. oh and this an antique gem. for all the technologies you can get this below rm100 thumbup.gif

Hi.

I just bought Sonic Gear ENZO 6000 and i'm having problem with the installation.

I never bought 5.1 speaker before, so i don't know how to plug the wires. But i refer to the manual and i think all wires are plugged correctly ( centre and subwoofer input to orange, left and right surround to black, left and right front to lime green ). The sound don't seem to come out.

Am i missing something here? Kindly advice me. Thanks.
*
i don't know about enzo6000 cause what i had is only junk of enzo7000.

The first thing is to make sure your enzo6000 really can produce sound. try plugging in the cable into your tv, mp3 player or some thing to test your speaker. if there is really a sound come out then move on to the next step. if no sound produce it can lead to two possibilities. either your speaker or the cable it self. to test the cable, use mp3 player.

make sure you select the right input mode on the enzo6000.

after that make sure you select the sound card output to 5.1.
