Parking. Is it worth upgrading to this from a late-2012 model?

Of course it is. There are so much bump on so many aspect since ur model.

Planning to get the 27-inch 5k model.

But it's working fine tho. I have intentions to upgrade simply because I'm so used to the Retina display on the MacBook Pro to the point that every time I use my iMac, it feels like I'm using an ancient piece of antique by just looking at the resolution

I am not surprised that it is working fine. Apple products u can easily use till it dies before u find it too slow for ur needs.

Yup, that's why I said it has been many many things upgraded on iMac since last time especially for the Retina display. The Retina display has even upgraded more than one time till now that it has 500 nits display.

Once using Retina display, hard to use back anything non retina.

Same here, with some additional spec bumps from i5 to i7 and from 8GB to 16GB RAM
