I still see transactions going through. Hmm. Wonder if they coded their contract correctly. Or maybe I just missed something on Slack (wasn't very active there).
Ah OK. Someone finally sent the instruction to the contract to stop deposits. This post has been edited by Enigmatic: Jun 24 2017, 09:21 PM |

QUOTE(TheReaderReads @ Jun 24 2017, 09:26 PM) I think maybe can buy again from the market after it has open up to trading? It should be tradeable on exchanges.not sure... like bancor, it is open to the market now Bancor is different though - By itself it is a decentralised exchange. Bancor Tokens can be seen as the intermediary unit to solve the "coincidence of wants" problem. |

AdToken is.... Worse than BAT.
70 accounts holding tokens. The first 20 accounts (out of the 38 who entered the ICO, the rest are AdToken's own wallets) taking up 99.8% of all tokens. And this is a token sales with ConsenSys involvement. This post has been edited by Enigmatic: Jun 27 2017, 12:53 AM |

Finally gone through in detail NEO's (Antshares) v1.1 whitepaper and their consensus algorithm paper.
Very ambitious project overall. Some loose ends I noticed which isn't addressed on their whitepaper (e.g. stakeholder votes and possible scenarios given differed percentage of holdings and number of voters, finer implementation details with regards to latency, accountant selection, etc), and some things I personally am not too comfortable with (NEO uses PBFT) - Though I would not outright say is unsuitable given the political geography of NEO and its target audience if I caught them correctly. And of course, in the style of Chinese, very frank on the technical limitations of other blockchain implementations. I don't think I need to say this since all of you guys are already on the boat, but NEO is indeed worth looking into as in my opinion it is one of the more mature blockchain implementation that is still fairly underpriced (within its region). I would expect prices to go up further when more local Chinese companies look into being joint accounting nodes on the NEO blockchain (though an open question on my end is the incentivisation needed to get companies interested in hosting a node). QUOTE(WooTz @ Jun 30 2017, 07:41 PM) Thanks for the detailed analysis, I've arrived to the same conclusion as well. This is indeed a tiny hodl for the long term at least. No - Thank YOU for getting Antshare onto my radar. I might do a better writeup with what I think NEO is trying to achieve with their implementation. In a nutshell I do think they are mostly trying to attract local corporates and be the "Blockchain of China", given their choice of consensus algorithm and the in-built KYC functionality, and also understanding China's politics... |

I think I should rephrase a bit - IMHO NEO is more mature than some other blockchain implementations (e.g. Stratis, Ubiq) in the sense that they know their target audience, what should be done to fulfil regulatory commitments locally and subsequently what are the technical attributes to be introduced into their blockchain as a result of these combined factors.
There is no point developing something to not have anyone using it; NEO took the approach of dealing with the business end of things first, which is good. Addendum: dc_talkz - I'm not joining Tezos. I don't like the how they market themselves and how they put down competitors (or even genuinely curious people). This post has been edited by Enigmatic: Jun 30 2017, 09:08 PM |

I'm on 50% fiat now - Not too comfortable with the bearish outlook on some of my holdings.
Will closely monitor the market for the next couple of days and see how things turn out. I have enough cryptos on key markets anyhow. |

QUOTE(WooTz @ Jul 1 2017, 12:32 PM) This is a very positive article, would love to see more successful blockchain startups get featured in the future. Interestingly BNM does have a regulatory sandbox since a while back (2016) - Though targeted on Fintech in general, not specifically cryptocurrencies/blockchain.Preferably once TenX reached 10 million card users and Status going live next year. I'm sure that'll get BNM's attention. I do have some stuff planned up during the coming weeks/months to have a general feel on how much local companies are interested in the blockchain and cryptocurrency space. Let's see where we get with that. QUOTE(kmarc @ Jul 1 2017, 12:09 PM) I need to protect my meagre profit. I am always one step behind. This post has been edited by Enigmatic: Jul 1 2017, 12:43 PM |

QUOTE(kmarc @ Jul 1 2017, 12:46 PM) And they actually mentioned this "This year alone, some 65 ICOs have raised US$500mil. There is at least one surfacing from Malaysia." The one ICO from Malaysia is related to organic farming and environment preservation. I've done some analysis with a guy on their ICO and business plan, unfortunately came out finding it... Unspectacular.I wonder which ICO is from Malaysia.... or probably going to be introduced in the near future. http://www.ecobit.io/ This post has been edited by Enigmatic: Jul 1 2017, 07:54 PM |

QUOTE(kmarc @ Jul 1 2017, 01:00 PM) Interesting! You were involved? Cool! Oh no... We were just analysing their ICO approach... As there were some ideas to leverage ICOs to help fund some of our local companies as local banks are getting risk adverse towards "non-conventional" sectors.Yeah, doesn't sound like a good investment idea for us crypto investors. TenX card sounds better. The ICO plan didn't go through but it was good news overall, as they were able to obtain funds from foreign banks. QUOTE(jonathan_k @ Jul 2 2017, 08:40 PM) https://www.reddit.com/r/EtherMining/commen..._multiple_gpus/ Just a quick one on on how "soon" is soon - Ethereum will most likely roll out a hybrid POW + POS consensus protocol prior to full POS.https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/4331368 IMHO i don't think mining with gtx1080ti would be profitable. 250W with 34mh/s. and ETH going to POS soon. you might not ROI in 6 to 12 months with the difficulty boom and increasing miner. Stock also might be a problem. better to discuss this in mining thread |
