you can use lido https://lido.fi/ for eth2.0
you get steth (Staked eth) for eth deposits of even amts lower than 32 when eth2.0 is out, you can swap steth back for eth2.0 in mean time, if needed, you can also swap steth back to eth if need liquidity (or farm on CRV for now). can read more here https://sg.finance.yahoo.com/news/lido-prot...-232651262.html This post has been edited by wlcling: Jan 18 2021, 10:50 AM |

QUOTE(gashout @ Jan 23 2021, 07:11 PM) I agree with this. Its never different. 2021 has more maturity but still heavy with speculation. We're in crypto because its highly speculative and it will surely go to euphoria soonTo add the above, 2017 and 2021 is very different. 2017 was a year of speculation and euphoria. 2021 sees adoption and practical use of crypto, and with more institutions buying them. It only says one thing The crypto/ blockchain world is still very young and won't die off. Watch how whales increase their holdings. My prediction is btc to 50k next stop. QUOTE(SmallPenguin @ Jan 24 2021, 06:08 PM) zoom out, look back the history, not just bitcoin but other asset markets as well Up only.if you ask me, the correction just warming up only bitcoin is not like gold, not confident to be that kind of thing always 1,2,3 up bitcoin will moon, now just not yet, if you can hodl like from 19k to 3k then back to 40k, then you no need worry if you want to make profit here and there, and with leverage, man best friend, know what you are doing and why you are doing |

QUOTE(wlcling @ Jan 15 2021, 07:27 PM) Anyone staked eth for 2.0? Tried out with about 5 eth.Used lido and yield farming with steth on curve. But wondering if theres an alpha play i may be missing out as well Have since farmed 70 ldo tokens and 7 crv tokens. Worth about $100plus Looking good for this so called set aside bag.. and with curve you can withdraw the steth back to eth anytime. Just pay gas fees |

QUOTE(vanitas @ Feb 5 2021, 12:03 PM) Perhaps AAVE coin is limited. Lol no diff from traditional finance?Anyway, the following comment from Reddit captured my mind about Defi especially lending and borrowing: "Picture this. I have 1 eth and use it as collateral to get 1000 DAO (very low interest rate when borrowing it) . I exchange that to get 0.75 eth. Now I use that as collateral to get 750 DAO. Overall I now have 1.75eth under my name used as collateral and it's worth 1750. I can do this so many times I end up with 7 or a little more eth depending on what I'm borrowing. This sort of leverage lets me create demand for eth that isn't there. If I'm a big enough fish, I can make the price go up. With these low interest rates for borrowing sertain currencies I don't need the price to go up by loads. Even 4% can do. This is one thing. The other which I find more concerning is that I can lend USDC for something like 7% interest. This shows that there is a great demand for borrowing USDC but when you look at it, almost no one is spending that USDC to pay bills. They are giving eth as collateral for example. Imagine now that the price of eth drops down fast and the protocol that is keeping it as collateral tries to sell it to buy back the USDC which you lent. When it does that it makes the price of eth to drop down further, making other protocols to do the same. And at some point the eth doesn't cover the USDC borrowed. The people who's USDC isn't covered will get fucked. Perhaps in not understanding something. Explain to me if that's the case😁" |

QUOTE(vanitas @ Feb 6 2021, 04:59 PM) This could be the case. But I am still respect they didn't re-balance their portfolio after balloon to 90%. New person can turn 5% to 90%, its naturally hard to exit the casino that is giving the chance of life changing money...But after go through a bear market, then people wisen up and have a tp strategy. QUOTE(johnnyenglish123 @ Feb 6 2021, 10:20 PM) Hard choice.. so many to pick on defi right now. But they're gonna have some pullback sooner or later. My Safer haven is btc, eth, ltc. Abit riskier is avax but which im heavy in right now. Defi i think most ppl know what r the common ones now but rather farm those if possible rather than buying spot. And time to time small cap projects specifically on uniswap.. too many to trade on these.. move too fast to give a recommendation. I guess a smaller cap im in and observing is ppay QUOTE(Enigmatic @ Feb 6 2021, 10:30 PM) LOL I spot the alpha, quite literally. WeAreDegen also briefly mentioned it a couple weeks back if you search this thread. Ooo i was wondering that.. but thats not under radar leh.. ok maybe matter of perspective lol. Literally had alpha in the early days but sold for cents and unfortunately didnt catch back on. Those apys for stables can get in harvest finance too i believe.Alpha Homora V2 just recently introduced stable vaults - Currently ~27% - But does go up to ~30% occasionally. You can also do leveraged farming through Alpha Homora. Pretty nice product. This post has been edited by wlcling: Feb 6 2021, 10:56 PM |

QUOTE(johnnyenglish123 @ Feb 6 2021, 10:54 PM) If you see btc, 2x above athEth, just only broke ath recently Ltc, still far from ath In a market you dont really wanna focus on weaklings but can just consider it for some catchup play perhaps?. The narrative not as strong at btc and eth but... i like the chances to hold some because i think it can surprise when you least expect it. Still a smaller bag than btc or eth though. Guaranteed you will be bored waiting if only holding ltc lol. These major coins pullback? Already finished in jan imo. Those defi coins that have been pumping like mad since btc rested in early jan? I guess have to be selective and spread baskets. Do need to pay more care to higher inherent risks of exploits and the likes. johnnyenglish123 liked this post
