Starting to avg down here. In my head - 9800,9500,9200

Still need to see the action forming. Ready to swing bias anytime 😏

Looks like my bottom 2 targets may not get met. Was the expectation of low 9k's too crowded? I think it was.

Altcoins can give huge gains and take them away. We have to accept that. Buying here and waiting for the next cycle isn't too bad - if its the usd value you are going for 🀭

Not the first time we had such bearish charts and sentiment ...on the way up. Not too worried. Still longing btc and alts. 70% alts at the moment.

Hitting 70% soon. Current portfolio 85% in alts , 15% in btc.

Eth. Sentiment generally weak, so wouldnt be suprised to see continued weakness. Regardless, a dip to the 200 sma would be a strong buy

user posted image

Ltc. Same story. Past halving led to a sell down 47 days before. No difference from current halving. So you are facing a weak narrative ahead. A dip to the 200 sma would also regardless still be a strong buy

Another way to look into things other than direct charts.

I've been getting deeper into altcoins the past few days as the bottom is feeling nearer and nearer. With recent moves, Altcoin chart bouncing off the 200ma so i believe short-term alts will be bouncing. Mid-term i still see some risks to the black line below, but i strongly feel the downside is limited and hence started my alts buying

user posted image

Also back to the btc dominance charts earlier, some rejections as expected around the 70% mark and it does seem we'll see some cool off in btc for a while which will be good for alts.

user posted image

Note - just ideas that i think are interesting and converging. The major assumption is that we are still in a bull market with a slight risk of a little more downside.

Starting to reduce alts exposure again. After that nice short bounce on altcoin cap, we could be headed down

Bitcoin looks like its just going to grind here. Eos and ripple actually starting to look good. I think selective alt pairs (old coins) could start to fire up here.

I think with sentiment being so low in alts at the moment, i think its a great time for 'investors' who can hold.

Long the corn.. i would start moving alts into btc as recent btc moves are promising

Some Alts/usd pairs could over perform. No right or wrongs but staying invested overall during this period would be rewarding.

Yet another blow to US citizens by end of aug. (Note binance in sept will be closing off to US citizens too). Imo Aug will be a bad month for Alts other than some bounces. If i were to long hold alts, I'd particularly favor those available in coinbase.

i'm really liking $ERD (on Binance) at current price $0.0031. Even though holding alts are risky at this juncture, but this is one of the few alts with promising tech and with a low circ & even total supply (23m and 61m respectively). Expected hold duration could be many many months.

Why BNB is looking bleak compared to other alts coin ?

BTC pump, BNB also pump but very little. BNB/BTC ratio decreasing day by day.

If Binance US fail to launch then there's very little reason to hold BNB
*
Even if binance US launches, vol is going to drop with the limited pairs that's likely going to be available. Current wink ieo is not attractive either.

In a btc uptrend, would be best to measure in sats... especially during this period when alts are getting crushed in sats. Technically, only btc has survived for 10 over years, whereas the majority of alts have come and went. Don't underperform a btc hodler! πŸ˜„

Btw ltc halving in less than 3 hours!

At the moment, China-US trade wars is the dog. Btc is the tail. Dog is wagging the tail 😏

If yuan is devalued further on context of trump imposing higher tariffs, thenπŸš€ to btc/gold. This would be the macro news to watch these few days as these two economies play it out. Some key indicators to check is the daily pboc yuan fixing rate and the usd/cnh charts. Weakening of yuan = capital outflow to btc & usdt in the crypto world. Stability in the above mentioned potentially means quick alt plays for the day.

I think when the dust settles, we see that bigger alt party, so watch the news! Like how your parents wanted 😎

Lots of people here still wishing for alt season dry.gif

I'm wondering if alts finally do a weak rally, whether some people will just dump their bags at any acceptable loss% and get out while they still can. It may be a race to the exit rather than return of the king.

I guess most peoples expectation of alt szn was the parabolic move in 2017. But which also heralded the end of the bull market thereafter. Just hold more btc and flip alts for now. Its still early in the btc bull market

Ok so we hit those levels 1 mth later where the high was about 9th Aug (71.5%~)

user posted image

However the high of 71.5% seen on 9th Aug to the retracement today to 68.8%~ was mainly due to BTC dropping from $12k~ to $10.5k~, but alts was generally 'doing well' gaining in both sats & in USD too.

Interestingly at this moment it's at a possible decision point on what's next. Next few days should be clearer (but my bias is towards btc bouncing here)
