Yeah this is a bug that exist in OP5 (at least I notice other phone users never mentioned it). Anyway the 1 sec lag is not really lag, it's meant to be like that to process HDR and it is so even in nexus and pixel models.

Since you're using one, do you experience bad reception? I think not all carbon fibre cases are like that

The cheap ones (RM1x) are mostly OEM ones sourced from taobao, not original but still works (I have one from taobao). The RM1xx ones are just stupid companies who marked up the price of original cables.

As for the wall plug car charger, technically it should work.

Not giving lie, I just came back from a trip at Bali, and all my friends (they own S7, S8 and S8+) were very impressed with the photos taken by my OP5 with just stock camera. The dynamic range is great on HDR mode (yes it might have a bit lack of details if you zoom 100% but overall it looks great) and even low light is very usable. All of them were wondering why such phone exist.

True for OP3/3T but not for OP5. All OP5 in the world are the same except the software either OxygenOS for global set or HydrogenOS for China. There is no difference because that's one of the features of OP5 - one global set that supports almost every country.

Rooted since day 1 hahaha. Cuz if you want to root you have to unlock bootloader which will wipe the whole phone including internal storage, so I always do on day 1

It's not possible unless you install a custom ROM that supports this.

And if you want to root and install xposed framework, it's really not worth the hassle just for that change because xposed is not officially supporting Android nougat and it brings more instabilities.

Since unlocking oneplus 5 is just a finger touch away so it shouldn't border you that much (I almost never use the lockscreen cuz touching to unlock is way faster than anything else, and the shortcuts also only work after unlocking)

For me the best is the OnePlus official karbon bumper case. it's night and day difference compared to cheapo taobao cases and yet not too bulky compared to ringke, spigen cases. Looks super great and feels good on hand, after some time I actually like to hold it compared to not using any case. Doesn't leave any fingerprint or marks on the case itself too.

It's on the pricy side at RM119 though but I have no regret!

Someone posted few pages back of all available types in the market, there are 4 types but none is perfect due to the curved edges. I don't use any now for more than a month and it's still fine. I tried 2-3 personally and either it has white edges or the soft film a that actually degrade the viewing quality and touch smoothness.
