No idea why this 2 tapes are sold at these prices. I checked lazada and shoppee, the price varies from rm10 - rm 28 for the same model

user posted image

at first i thought it's imitation, but it's so well made, and its distributed by SBD Asia

user posted image

anyway, grabbed this 2 for stock since i think it's most likely wrong pricing. LOL. i have plenty of tapes and chuck it everywhere in each of my scooters and cars. the life of contractors is like this. LOL

Hi guys, anybody use gbh180 li? I'm thinking of getting one. Currently use gsb 180 li can drill through my wall. But take times la. Try my friend milwaukee M12 fuel. Very syiok. Light, n vibration not too much. Very easy to make hole.  But price is abit expensive n no chisel mode.
*
yup. sure can. it's much better than GSB, but it only accepts SDS+ bit unless you put the chuck adaptor

Morning, may I have some comments from users of Bosch GSB 180-Li?

My current corded drill is almost spoilt, the bearing is tight. I'm considering a cordless drill but not too expensive one. Will only use it occasionally for own home DIY, like 10 times a year  sweat.gif

My concerns is about the concrete drilling capacity, as once or twice I need to make a hole at the beam to hang something. I understand that this GSB is not meant for concrete drilling, but can it still get the work done, even at a slow speed? I'm fine with it as long as I can make a few 6mm holes with it smile.gif

Thanks

battery will be expensive. u can drill small holes on walls no problem

so where can buy clone bosch batt 18v system here? got ar? shopee got? i belom cari..

my 12V bosch battery can be used with many china power tools

my recent purchase was a 12v cordless caulking gun, which wasnt available on BOSCH platform (makita & milwaukee is too expensive)

i chose the model specifically because i can use bosch original battery, which i have plenty of

QUOTE(lucifah @ Dec 19 2018, 03:54 PM)
while you guys talk about expensive tools, this came in the mail

behold, china made, PATMAN PM-400GW cordless glue machine  (that's what written on it)

basically, this is a cheap power caulking gun. RM 280

user posted image

comes with 2 batt & 1 charger
user posted image

the batt packs look like BOSCH 10.8V / 12V packs
user posted image

and they fit! LOL
user posted image
btw, the tube is aluminum and can fit 600ml sausage. not yet try, but it has 40N.m of expel force written in the manual (dunno how to compare to others as others only list it as lbs saja, not lbs-ft)

for comparison,

milwaukee m12 is RM 1,200 & makita 18v is RM 1,600 for a kit that comes with 1 batt

to drill a tile without damaging it, easiest way is just to use an impact drill

start with a 2 or 3mm drill bit. whatever u want to choose. what u want is to create a very small pit

its the top part of the tile that is the hardest. once u get past that, u can do wahtever u want

i use an impact drill as i can have more control and the impact energy isnt as devastative as a hammer drill

u can also use liquid paper to mark the point. it helps to create some friction so the drill bit wont slip

As I was saying I needed a 4mm SDS bit and getting one is difficult. But I do have a SDS chuck with an ordinary round masonry bit and so I used that but drilling thru concrete was much harder. I’m just wondering why it doesn’t hammer that well ? I guess a chuck does not perform the same as a stand-alone bit?
*
1. SDS >> chuck
2. always invest in high quality bits. they are expensive for a reason - they make u happier

even high quality bits will be dull after the 100th hole. i discard many IRWIN Joran drill bits already, especially if they met with steel bars - those die prematurely

best so far i have use is Bosch S4L. but they are very pricey. made in germany drill bits. best bang for buck is IRWIN Joran speedhammer. half the price of S4L, and almost as sharp as S4L.

Because it is Bosch  laugh.gif

If I were you, I'd just go for Stanley simply for its warranty alone. Price wise is negligible.

These are same company
Dewalt - 3 year warranty
Stanley - 2 year warranty
Black and Decker - 1 year warranty

As far as I know the Bosch for this price range, the motor is not something special. Looks like it is using internal brush just like the Stanley. Although the this Bosch is supposed to be at same level as the Dewalt (I think), but I saw Stanley cordless drill even beat Dewalt in drill comparison  laugh.gif
*
BOSCH has many grades

always go for bosch professional

bosch is pretty good at making drills. they are one of the best in the industry.

stanley dewalt & B&D are the same company. LOL

"DeWalt (trademarked as Dá´‡WALT) is an American worldwide brand of power tools and hand tools for the construction, manufacturing and woodworking industries. DeWalt is a trade name of Black & Decker (U.S.) Inc., a subsidiary of Stanley Black & Decker."

I believe that branded one starts from 5mm. Only China made can go below 5mm  laugh.gif

Just need to find local supplier that sell China made  laugh.gif
*
Bosch SDS Plus 1 has 4mm bit. but it's made in china. it's cheap because it's not that good.

edit: found S4L 4mm bit. made in germany

Yes but the that Bosch model is still pro (right) but lower end.

That is what I meant, those 3 brands belong to same company.
*
yes, u are correct.

anyhow, always go n get brushless motor. they are light, powerful, and use less battery.

if u see my bosch bulldog cordless rotary hammer drill, u will cry. LOL. it's abused to the max, fell down 1 storey high few times, and it still works flawlessly. the best investment so far. perhaps sudah drill > 500 holes in reiforced concrete slabs

1x 4ah batt pack can drill 30 - 40 holes easily

er... there are some pretty useful 12V tools

i have both 18V & 12V.

the best 12V tool that is indispensable? BOSH GWS 12V-76EC. very compact and very capable grinder.

True that. I invested in bosch 18V system because my place has hard concrete walls.
So far I have the GBH-180LI rotary hammer and ordered a GSB-180 screwdriver (coming soon for screwing the kitchen cabinet).

12V tool the advantage is lighter tool
*
to be honest with you, i kinda regret investing in BOSCH 18V system... because they have very very limited range of tools

unlike MILWAUKEE or MAKITA

soo wide the range of tools provided

makita is the most versatile, with coffee maker, powered wheel barrow, portable fan, grass cutter... etc etc

Yes, for own use.

What is the difference if for business or selling it?
I see. Where did you buy it from? Also, how you pass the custom duty?
I bet the shipping cost must be high and what did you buy ?
*
i bought from amazon. they handle all the custom clearances

but i paid dearly for it

because few months later, the exact same model start to be introduced locally at almost 40% cheaper price

LOL

but it's a good tool. it gives me good return. 2 - 3 jobs and ROI sudah.

Hi Bosses,

I just want to ask for recommendations from the experts.
Actually I wanted to start on woodworking hobby but just couldn't do so.

Now I'm planning to buy my first power tools. My plan is to do some minor projects for starters.
But my problem is that I'm an ex-pat from the Philippines, I wanted to buy the tools while I'm still here I'm Malaysia since looking at the prices, It's way cheaper here than in the Philippines.

While doing a bit of research here and there, a combo drill, circular saw and jigsaw would be a good start.

I also am more interested on the cordless rather than the wired ones.

Just wanted to get some good tools which can be a good investment.

Planning to get this one first.

https://shopee.com.my/BOSCH-18V-COMBO-GDX-1...0441.1545819982

Would this be fine?

Thanks!
*
that set should be good to start, because it comes with batt pack + charger

so u can grow your tools line that use the same batt pack

solo tools (sans battery + charger) is always cheaper

but 2ah batt pack is on the tiny side. unless u dont mind frequent charging

i have like 5 or 6 x 4ah batt packs to last me whole day, but mine is for work. i guess for hobby should be ok.

Hi all

I want to but rotary hammer drill.

1. Dongcheng DZC05-26
2. Bossman BGBH226
3. Or any other OK chinese brand..

Please help.. for home use. I cannot afford to buy bosch or makita

Thanks for your help.
*
Both are good

dongcheng markets their tool under DCA power tools

Bossman has many copy cat power tools from famous brands, especially bosch. their 12V tools can fit with bosch 12v battery packs

but dont expect stellar performance or reliability. it's just better than the rest of china brand power tools

edit: might be wrong about DongCheng & DCA. LOL
