QUOTE(ceo684 @ Nov 2 2021, 04:37 AM) Should be reliable enough. But if wanna "condemn the disc" on concrete cutting chases the diamond edged ones are much cheaper. It should last damn long if you're cutting metal being a carbide blade. ⚠️ Cutting plaster board with grinder will produce a Desert Storm kind of dust cloud ⚠️ If I set the speed to lower to cut plaster, will that help reducing the Desert Storm effect?

I saw some youtubes, there are some 3D printed dust extractor for angle grinder. I am going to download that drawing and load to my 3d printer to try it out.

QUOTE(Zot @ Nov 2 2021, 02:03 PM) There are dust extractor for grinders out there. I think the problem is the vacuum will get choked in no time. I will not use vacuum. I will be using a very long tube to route the dust out.

QUOTE(Zot @ Nov 16 2021, 04:56 PM) This depend on disc. It will drag your hand in one direction like grinder and if not careful you end up cutting your shiny tile surface. If you opt for this, then better find cheap multi tool, easier to control. Plenty of masking tapes needed, I guess...

QUOTE(ceo684 @ Nov 16 2021, 05:45 PM) Yup multitool much safer and easier to control. Bosch GOP18V-28 EC very nice to use. Low vibration. Fuh, somebody is loaded... I only use my DIY drill bit for the job...sigh.

I want to convert my Bosch GWS 900-100S to M14 so that I can use 5inch cutting wheels. Anyone can give me links to buy the original Bosch 125mm protective guard ?
I think I also need to change the M10 to M14, right? Can anyone also know where I can buy those kits?

Today i was using my grinder to cut some thick nails with a abrasive type cutting disc and it shattered into pieces when I was cutting the nails! Luckily I was wearing PPE and grinder with guard installed. I cannot imagine with I don't have those safety equipped. Phew! Scary...i think I might not use any more abrasive type cutting disc to cut metal and nails...

QUOTE(ceo684 @ Jan 23 2022, 10:26 PM) Did you spin the disc kaw kaw to max speed before cutting? Yeah, I always let it spin for 30 seconds before using it to make sure it is installed properly on the grinder before using.

QUOTE(ceo684 @ Jan 24 2022, 10:56 PM) Cordless is OK (nowadays with all the souped up 4AH and bigger) but runtime will be just minutes lah, that's the only drawback.. corded run all day. Yeah, use corded better if you seldom use that power tool. Can keep for very long time. For battery, if you don't constantly use it, and leave it in the storeroom, it will degrade. So opt for corded, cheaper and longer lasting...hehehe
