I have GSB 10RE and it has been very useful for all DIY at home.
Yes, it needs longer time to drill concrete walls, but how often do you need to do that for own house? and it have all the time and no rush to do that at home...

Yes, for contractors, time is money. So they need powerful hammer drill to do the job quickly and move on to next project.

Okay thanks for the advice everyone

I have seen contract workers using angle grinder without protection and cut their fingers off and also blind after the blade chip off.
So don't play play with angle grinder...it's a disaster awaiting to happen if not handle properly.

I got mine online. Geolaser is also an actual hardware store lol smile.gif
41 bucks delivered for two pcs 21mm thin wall (not the plastic coated thin wall) sockets. Decided to get two in case one broke.

I got it with the sata box, product seems legit. If you have use for the other sizes I think there's a set of six sockets covering 17 19 19 21 21 21 kinda thing for below 80 bucks.

Why not buy from MrDIY? It comes with a set of different sizes.

Thanks for the feedback. I think I will go for x-lock option as I am one lazy dude biggrin.gif
And I don't have to worry about having a jam disc on it.

So far I heard they have stress test this x-lock mechanism which will not have issue with slippage.

I need the variable speed so that I can use it to also scrub my bathroom floor tiles that has lots of stubborn ugly water stains.

Contractors use diluted hydrochloride acid to certain percentage. Sold in hardware shop as tiles cleaner.

They just pour to the tiles. Let it soak for about 15 min and then brush it with wire bushed. If you have water deposit sort of like calcium there on surface, it will softened it and more easily to come off. Yes that copper wire brush used to clean rust on iron fence or grill before repainting.

The acid is not expensive like RM10+ for a container like a gallon if not mistaken.
*
I tried that method in my previous house toilet, i f*cked it up, that acid thing eat thru the cement grouts and cause severe water leaks.
And also using the wire brushed also killed my toilet tiles as it's too harsh for the tiles until it create lots of deep scratches that is no way to remove them. So end up I sold that house. smile.gif

I just received my Bosch GWX 18V angle grinder and firsts time using it and found out that angle grinder is actually the most dangerous power tools. The kickback can really hurt a person badly. So now I am a bit worry of using it...

So I am thinking to scrap this DIY and just take this as my expensive lesson of buying such power tool and not dare to use it.

I am going to plan to sell it off but not right now. I will keep it for some time first. (Maybe after some time, my guts are back and I dare to use it...LoL)

For now, I just get myself plenty of PPE to standby first.

I just found a buyer to buy my Bosch GWX 18v angle grinder.
Phew....what a relief.

Now I bought another angle grinder which has the variable speed, Bosch GWS 900-100s for much cheaper price.

Can I ask if anyone here bought this unit? Is it good?

Should be good brows.gif We don't really use grinders 8hrs nonstop, so even the GWS060 works very well for our purposes.
What would be the cutting scope you're intending to do?
*
I am going to use it to do alot of woodworking (DIY furnitures).
And also I need to cut some tiles.

Yes, you are right about the use of grinder is far lesser than those ppl who use it as their daily work. But I choose GWS900-100S for it's durability and it's form factor. The thickness of it is much thinner than GWS060, right? So it will have better grip and less fatigue for long usage. And the main thing is that it has the option to control the speed, which GWS060 doesn't have. I can use it to do sanding of rust on my gates and awning next time. I can also use it to do some basic wax and polishing of my cars. The next good thing about GWS900-100S is that it is also have a slow start, so it won't jolt when switching on and also the safe restart feature.

I think most of the ppl also agree that Bosch spare parts are cheap and easily available to buy online such as carbon brush, amature, flanges, guards, anti-vibration handle, bearings, gears etc. So this is also another reason I choose Bosch brand.

I have a dilemma here on choosing the right cutting disc for my grinder.
I saw this in Shopee, which can use for many applications, cutting plastic, cutting wood, cutting concrete, cutting plaster etc.
Carbide Multi Wheel

Is this disc reliable?
Or should I get a dedicated cutting disc for cutting specific material?
