Dear All, Recently after some updates on my Windows 10 (push by MS), I noticed that there will have a windows popup on my screen just for a split seconds and then it closed by itself. Since it happened too fast, I can't really tell what it was, but it just happened again when I was typing this message I have scanned all my HDD and kept all virus scanner on high alert for almost one whole day, but can't find any problem. This is really disturbing, because that popup windows will cause some of my windows to restore to its original position (when they are in maximized mode). And keeping all virus scanner running with highly security settings also affecting my work. Because virus scanners and internet securities are very intrusive when you are developing software. This machine has NO pirated software and never visit any * * sites Thanks in advance

Same as mine, mostly seeing it on my work laptop. I caught a glimpse of it, seems to be Microsoft Office related. Wasn't sure what was that either

Since it only appears for a split seconds, I can't really tell how many times it appear and how frequent it is. Because I might not notice it sometimes or not in front of my computer. But it does happened more than once a day.

Means 10:12am, 12:12pm, 4:12pm, 8:12pm. Will monitor again today. There are too many things in the event viewer.

There are too many things in the event viewer. yeah it really looked like a scheduled task in action. the post at the above link might be the actual answer. there is one entry that runs every hour for ms.office. i have that too (using office 365), but somehow i don't see any command prompt flashing. to trouble shoot with event viewer, you should clear all the logs first, then monitor the entries from there. edit: btw you can find a list of active tasks in task scheduler.
