hmmm, is it too close to the object? can you try to pull the distance from the object a bit more? I believe there was a min macro focus range for all camera.

distance is important. can try further and nearer... and if still cant, then change the setting to normal and take pic then change to macro again... sometime the lens got some problem even the D-cam also...

after try then let me know...

Picked up from some review...

"In macro mode the closest an object can be is 5.2mm, anything closer and the AF will not lock."

U have to practice a lot actually. Try to use the shutter, not the joystick button. I my self have the same problem too at the first place. But, now I can take a clear shot rite now from dat distance. Press half of ur shatter until it come out with the green light at the screen. If it didnt come out, let the shutter button go first then press it again until u get it. The result is proven since I have try it. Dunt worry about ur shakey hands coz this is cyber shot, the red light will cover it for u. thumbup.gif

Extra information to be add on...

"When focus is set to auto mode the closest distance for AF to lock was a little over 13mm, that's more than twice the distance of macro mode, so using macro mode does make a significant difference."

Must say thank you for the reviewer to provide this information.

approx. 10cm is good enough. more easy to get focused.

some more, k800i is known to to hv worse focusing capability (esp. macro mode), compare to previous SE af phones. so dont expect you will get focused at one try.

ya.. but then if well focused, you will get nice focused close up with blur background. love that.. but then some time very frustrated can't get the focus well at first try. still it is the best among 3.2mp phone though. rclxms.gif

the best way to learn.. take more photos.. when your pictures number reach about 500-700, you will instinctively know how to use the phone well..

That's the method i do usually aswell , what we want to get is the distance of the object to snap. ( no matter what ) , as long as the camera able to focus the distance that you want to take , then that is.

Like.no.other wert , fussy thingy. laugh.gif

That will not run away as long as after you press halfway the shutter button to focus the area you want , the phone will fix the distance of the object you want to snap so moving here and there is not the main problem . tongue.gif
