QUOTE(Grif @ Jun 14 2011, 09:36 PM) Without the hype, DNF would probably be remembered as that generic shooter whom everyone soon forget. The hype machine killed it unfortunately. Actually George Broussard's bad project management / attitude killed it.

sadly this game is just a very bad game, almost looks like a tight budget kind of game, poor AI, poor weapons, poor level design...disappointed...bulletstorm is a lot more fun to play even after playing it once you would go for another round in bulletstorm...DNF i just played a while and couldn't play anymore...oh well..long live the duke

QUOTE(WhatMan @ Jun 14 2011, 09:29 PM) Nothing controversial. In fact I think people 'pretend' to make it controversial to make everyone take notice of this game. We live in a time where nudity in gaming becoming a norm, piss and feces? We've seen that in Postal 2 few years ago! Heck, we even had games where you're using your virtual hand to fondle women! they complained not because of nudity but here is the summarize from one user: » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « They get kidnapped, raped and impregnated. Then they apologize for getting fat (because they're pregnant, because they got raped). Then they die.
That's bad. Maybe that person shouldn't play this kind of game if he get offended easily. I guess he is a family man, have wife and kids so he see that scene was a very bad attempt at humour.

After seeing all the bad/so-so reviews for DNF, I decided to skip this game.. maybe consider it when it is in the bargain bin.. So sad.. i tot pigs could fly... but it is juz a fake pig floating in the air.. R.I.P. Duke...

On metacritic, DNF got a "0" from 1Up (under their rating, it was an "F").

Seriously do you think DNF will be that good after ...wad...13 years? ( I lost count the year)
The game been scrap, rebuild, scrap and rebuild.... My hype died years back, same as for diablo 3, I always use the term "Mao release then release, dowan release then I dont care about it", Just kinda fed up with the term "When its done", it better off with TBA.

I can't help but mention this; I have a feeling that this release of Duke Nukem Forever is not finished too. After finishing the singleplayer campaign u unlock alot of extras; concept arts, screenshots, development timeline, movies etc. From the concept art I notice there are alot of things did not make it to the final release. There was pictures of worlds/levels that was not in the game. One noticeable art is a female soldier character that looks like she could be part of the game. This again, was not in the game. To confirm my suspicion, Kotaku also put up an article about it: http://kotaku.com/5811650/would-this-have-...rever/gallery/1

But I think 3DRealms didn't have the ability to create good A.I. that would have Bombshell act as a sidekick.

QUOTE(html-tutor @ Jun 15 2011, 02:33 PM) they might come in the form of DLCs I also thought so. 14 years in development, SP can't be that short. Tried a bit last night, graphics quite dated. Going thru that interview part.

I believe when 3DRealms went bankrupt, they established Triptych Games just to try to keep DNF running with few programmers. Since they cannot afford an office, they had to settle using house as their so called 'studio'. Its pretty pathetic when 12 years of their lives is wasted on this piece of garbage. Can you imagine their resume/cv would look like?

Those pictures are all in the extra portion when you finish the singleplayer campaign. I was kinda surprise when I say those pictures.
