Bought a TP-Link Deco X60 AX3000 WiFi-6 (3-pack) Claims to be able to cover up to 7k sqft

TIME 1Gbps plan
Condo 5000 sqft, 2 floors
iPhone 12 Pro Max test device
Main device at 1st floor (connected to modem)
2nd device at 1st floor living hall
3rd device at 2nd floor living hall
Only using wireless (no Ethernet backhaul)

Router room: 650mbps
Living hall (1st floor): 400Mbps
My bedroom(second floor above router room): 300mpbs
Bedroom (second floor farthest from any device): 150mpbs
*didnt state other rooms but speeds are comparable**

Conclusion: Wifi speeds aren’t the greatest, even in the optimal condition (right next to main router). only reaching 60-65% of my plan. BUT the connectivity is stable (doesn’t reconnect due to only having a single SSID) and the range is great as advertised (I’m having 3 bars in every location in the condo). Lastly, it’s super easy to setup the mesh system with the Deco app.

Overall, I am pretty happy about my home WiFi right now. It is definitely an upgrade from the free mesh devices provided by TIME (which gave me headache all the time, max speed reach 300-400 only and extremely unstable)

For those who wants the best speeds should go for ASUS or netgear orbi but definitely more pricy!

Anyone can guide me on how I can setup my house Unifi 500Mbps 😭

Was thinking of getting AX73 with RE505X, will it be good enough?

Or should I get Deco M4?

How many M9 plus are you using ?
Should I get another router and use M9 plus as mesh ? 🤔

So far, the very old free TP Link C5 AC1200 is OK for my use. Except for unknown reason, the Amazon Fire Stick doesn't like it but other device OK. Can reach furthest part of the house but of course could do with better signal strength and speed, reason why I am looking for a better one. So I guess the AX73 will be sufficient and the AX90 probably an overkill?

Another question. If I get the AX73, can I set up the old C5 as repeater at the other end of the house? If yes, still beaming the same SSID of the AX73?

Use M9 Deco in router mode with unifi 800mbps. Wireless speed becomes erratic, fluctuates sometimes even went down to under 100mbps. Had to disconnect and reconnect my PC from the network again to get faster speed.

Internal speed test with the TP-link app shows that I can only get maximum of around 500-600mbps downstream. upstream was not affected at 200mbps. Homecare was disabled and tried disable QoS and tried set them to maximum.

Today I revert back to AP mode. Internal speed test with the app, I can get full speed at 850mbps. Wireless speed is now more stable.

Something is definitely not right with the M9 Deco. Mine is v2 with latest firmware.
