QUOTE(blacktubi @ Jul 9 2017, 06:14 PM) Currently doing that. Totally possible. I don't even use the same model but they are all from TP-Link. but then powerline kit expensive oh, 3 of them too kik liaoJust add the additional powerline adapter using the tpPLC app. my plan is 1 pair for pc, extra pl for hypp tv This post has been edited by noobandroid: Jul 9 2017, 06:33 PM |

QUOTE(blacktubi @ Jul 9 2017, 07:50 PM) Wait, you can't have 2 powerline network in a home I afraid. so its either internet or hypptv? hmm, which suitable for hypptv bandwidth? You can have multiple powerline adapters but they will be just 1 network. QUOTE(Alert_RaZO @ Oct 24 2017, 10:11 PM) some guys suggested me that it starts from the fuse box, if 1 main fuse then "likely" is single phase, and 3 fuses are triple phaseda little help for me also, currently my wifi coverage at 2nd flr of my home stands at around -75dBm, anyways can low costly improve the coverage? like changing my wifi antenna from 5dB ones to 8dB ones from tp link, will that help? wanna ask one thing I'm uncertain
on a powerline, is the wifi network repeated or is it network going through powerline THEN broadcasted? if its the usual rebroadcast like a wifi repeater then i think wifi speed will be significantly affected |

QUOTE(SilentVampire @ Dec 20 2017, 01:09 PM) The data is gong through the powerline then broadcasted. It is not repeated. However, powerline is very sensitive to electrical noise and any electrical noise will affect the data transmission rate. I'm using a set now and theoratical speed for 50 mbps is achieved, but my kit doesn't have wifi |

QUOTE(blacktubi @ Dec 20 2017, 02:17 PM) The wireless powerline is basically a wireless access point relying on the powerline connection for backhaul. provided all things optimal? will i be getting all of my (supposedly) 100 mbps unifi? how bout on a FAST ethernet powerline which im using? So the link speed actually depends on the powerline connection. Powerline link speed is affected by various factors. (3 phase, distance between powerline adapters and power equipment) This post has been edited by noobandroid: Dec 20 2017, 09:01 PM |

QUOTE(SilentVampire @ Dec 27 2017, 01:21 PM) You got it the other way around. The single port should be connected to the Router and the one of the 3 ports to your PC, assuming that you are trying to get LAN connection to the router, but unable to do so, because of wiring. QUOTE(blacktubi @ Dec 27 2017, 02:37 PM) Yes, you can but why would you want to do that? Powerline adapters are reversible. he reason for this is so my home computer all gets gigabit powerlineIf you want to add ports to your router, get a switch. The wireless powerline should be used at the place where you want to boost the signal. 2 pc upstairs, 1 downstairs, 1 hypp tv This post has been edited by noobandroid: Dec 27 2017, 03:24 PM |

QUOTE(SilentVampire @ Dec 27 2017, 05:25 PM) Not possible for powerline to be used for Hypptv if it is used for Internet already. You have to choose either one. See above for bro ppfoong who confirmed it. on current powerline, speed is only reaching 50mbps out of 100mbps i subscribedGigabit powerline is unnecessary if your connection does not reach 1000Mbps, or 1Gbps speed. You can buy that as it is better than AV500 powerline, but won’t make much difference for speed. |

QUOTE(blacktubi @ Dec 27 2017, 06:39 PM) archer c5 TM editionQUOTE(SilentVampire @ Dec 27 2017, 08:08 PM) Your new powerline should be better, but not sure if you can still get full speed. The best thing for you is stil a direct wireless connection to your router. Would recommend you get a better router with strong coverage. I would recommend the TP Link AC3150 v2. is there any other way to get the speed upstairs while the router at ground floor? if hardwire will need to redo the whole house network wires which will take something around 20-30 meters maybe to one PCIt is possible, but you need to be connected to 5GHz, assuming that you area is congested and have interference from other wireless AP. The TP C3150v2 would be more than enough for you bro. just in case minor details missed, it's a double storey semi-D house, wifi N @ -70 dBm, AC @ -80 dBm could get a stronger router but on wifi, doesnt that cause lag in games?
