Hi WTA is the purpose of mesh wifi is if upstairs is getting the full 100mbps internet speed and if downstairs only getting 10mbps, with mesh wifi downstairs should get 100mbps too???
Bcs i saw someone mention b4 mesh his downstairs wifi only get 10mbps but when get mesh wifi it increase to 30mbps??
I thought with mesh whole house should be getting the full 100mbps internet speed?

Technically yes but it depends on other factor as well.. what is the signal strength of your existing wifi connection downstairs? hmm.gif
Mesh wifi will improve the speed of your wifi but by how much would still depends on a lot of other factor.

bcs the way the salesperson upsale it to me mesh would give 100mbps for my whole down stairs which currently only can get 10-30 mbps depending where you at down stairs...
If it only helps by a bit than what is the difference between mesh with the cheap wifi booster thing that some people are selling???

Mesh is definitely capable of giving you 100mbps but like i said before it would still depends on a lot of other factor. (for example position of all your mesh node and even your house layout)
Mesh would definitely help if your wifi strength downstairs is very weak currently.

I would assume the wifi booster that you are referring to is a wifi repeater. A repeater would mostly cut you speed by half even if it is in a perfect environment but a mesh wont. smile.gif
