blacktubi Tried to set up Wake On Lan on my C1200 (the one provided by TM). It worked perfectly when it is on the LAN, but when I tried it outside my LAN (i.e. waking up my PC through my phone via mobile data), it worked briefly and it won't work anymore after some time. Tried setting ARP binding and it still didn't work I was trying to set up an OpenVPN server on the router to allow my phone to be 'part' of my LAN so that I can send a magic packet to the PC, but it appears that the VPN is assigning a different IP address (10.x.x.x) rather than (192.168.x.x). Do I need to set some kind of static routing so that I can forward the packet from the 10.x.x.x subnet to the other subnet? Please advise as I'm not too familiar on VPNs and subnets This post has been edited by chocobo7779: Nov 26 2017, 08:37 PM

QUOTE(blacktubi @ Nov 28 2017, 12:08 PM) You couldn't access the LAN network on the 192.168 range when connected to the VPN? I can, but only the router IP strangely - I did create a SMB share on my server though, but I'll be testing this at a later time

QUOTE(Doraku @ Sep 15 2018, 10:05 AM) Why not make your own Router using VyOS Amd Ryzen 2400g 4GB ram alot of gigabit and SFP ethernet port, The only problem is VyOS dosen`t have GUI currently so you need to be VyOS expert or you can use Mikrotik RouterOS the only problem is RouterOS is not free Wasn't Pfsense will work just fine, no?

QUOTE(SilentVampire @ Apr 2 2019, 10:50 AM) I would suggest you to cut your losses, and get another router. There is no new firmware and the last firmware was from 3 years ago That's the one bad thing about TP-Link although I like their products. They don't bother to update their firmware. Even more annoying is TP-Link will make a hardware revision of their router and they will abandon the older revision router when it comes to firmware updates ASUS doesn't do that, and their routers will keep updated for many years due to consistent firmware upgrades. Even the firmware is region and revision agnostic which means you can flash the firmware easily without worrying about region and hardware revision sHawTYThis post has been edited by chocobo7779: Apr 2 2019, 01:34 PM

QUOTE(blacktubi @ Oct 15 2019, 01:44 PM) They are selling it at RM1999 but they included their TX3000E Wireless AX adapter worth RM399 for free. RM399 adapter Might as just as well get a cheap AX200NGW PCI-E x1 adapter via Aliexpress
