Wow, bro. That’s an amazing router if you can get it. But, I would really recommend the TP Link C3150 v2. The coverage is amazing and the new updated firmware has antivirus, QOS, and a whole lot more setting plus they have their dedicated app to manage the router. It is very good. You will thank me if you get it lol, and it cost way less than the Asus router you want to buy, only RM730 now. I have seen it drop to RM680 during Lazada sales.

My solution to the heat generated. Simple laptop cooler below the router with two fan blasting from the bottom of the router. Steel surface below the router able to disperse heat quite well. Result is significant decrease of temperature of the router. I'm happy.

I have the C3150 and I guess it has one of the best coverage among consumer routers currently.

I prefer a router and powerline extender configuration over mesh for our Malaysia concrete houses. Mesh networking rely on wireless for backhaul and concrete isn't really helpful.

As for the heat, nothing much to worry. It is warm to the touch but the router is designed to run at much higher temperature.

The coverage is very good and definitely as bro blacktubi mentioned, it has on of the best coverage among consumer routers now, with excellent firmware.
Definitely router and powerline/extender conguration is the most optimal solution for now, over mesh networking.
And no, the heat is perfectly fine and it is not too hot at all. You need to elevate your router somehow so it can get some airflow at the bottom.

Yes, I saw that too. I am quite surprised it takes this amount of effort to connect to Unifi and get Internet access via this router. Good luck bro.
