It blocks the adware and virus that comes through the network so, for example, if one device on the network is trying to access a website, and there is adware on the website, it will block the adware before delivering the website to the device. It also acts as an IPS, or Intrusion Prevention System, so it will block any outside access to your router, and lastly, if your device is infected with a virus, it will stop that device from transmitting anything outside your network.

The bottom line is that it is a very good router and I highly recommend it  thumbup.gif

QUOTE(SHOfrE3zE @ Sep 24 2018, 12:44 PM)
anyone using TP-Link Archer C7 AC1750?

My connection is currently on UNIFI 500Mb/s using TM fiberhome modem (latest) connected to the TP-Link Archer C7 AC1750 v4 router.

Currently I'm having problem getting more than 100mb/s speed on both download & upload with the said router. Called the TM tech to drop-by my house and checked all the settings and still he can't figure out the problem. He tried with a D-link router and he can achieve 500Mb/s without problem so it must be my router.

Anyone knows the solution for this?

Hi there,

Please make sure NAT boost is enabled in system parameters and please try again with another Ethernet cable. smile.gif

I wonder how much it's gonna cost, since it's not available in the TPLink lazada store.

RM2k for 2pc pack maybe?

I noticed HW V2.1 with the Serial number sticker on the physical box packaging. Despite V2.1, latest firmware still from 09/2017 only.

AC5400X is good specs but the design and physical size doesn't suit my use.

Hi there,

C5400X comes with a newer qual-core processor, 1GB of RAM and 8 Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports.

We will provide firmware updates when there is an issue discovered with the firmware or when we are adding new features to the router.

Thanks.

Guys, have a weird problem. My 2.4g connection suddenly not working.. Speedtest 1mbps even though sitting next to router. My 5g wifi giving 400mbps+ stable. When check on phone, the link speed speed indicates as low as 5mbps.

Model is archer c3150, internet speed 800mbps..

Tried changing channels, no difference.. I don't know if I should factory reset or something. Really weird that it was fine yesterday, and today already haywire.. Tried on multiple phones, same result.
*
Hi Sir, please check if your wireless router is placed near a high interference source. Certain devices running on 2.4Ghz such as dect phones, microwave ovens and some baby monitors are known to cause interference.

hi all,
Is there any specific settings that i need to configure on the AC1200 when i connecting a AP to it? The router is free issued by Maxis. I had no issue sharing my internet with the AP when i was still using Unifi, but after i change to Maxis, i could not share internet to the AP.

I can access the AP webgui through the router but somehow internet is not being shared with the AP. Any advice?

Thanks.
*
May I know what AP are you using?

TP-LINK MY I wonder why do I always face problems with my Deco M5? Currently I am facing random disconnection. Once after I got disconnected I can't connect back to the Deco M5 and I have to switch off and reboot the Deco M5 in order for me to connect back. Wtf is wrong with your firmware or whatever but can you please not to disappoint me with anything like this? At first, last time I bought a WR841HP but then got problem also. Then your C1200 also got problems with firmware. Changed to Archer C7 also got god damn problem with the V1 hardware batch. Then now using Deco M5 also the same. Are you fucking kidding me or what?! I'm so sorry for swearing all the bad words but please forgive me because I'm just so god damn pissed. Feeling so fucked up for trusting your products.

BTW don't tell me it's anything to do with hardware incompatible or whatsoever as my both P20 Pro and Galaxy Note 9 also facing the same problem.

Hi Sir, may I know which firmware version are you using?

Can you try and disable fast roaming just in case some of your devices are not compatible with the 802.11 k/v/r standards.

QUOTE(JohnLai @ Apr 20 2019, 01:02 PM)
TP-LINK MY

There is an online firmware upgrade for Archer A6 1.1.2 Build 20190403 rel.65811 released with the following changelog:
After I upgraded to that version, let the router boots completely, then I pressed the reset button on the router and reconfigure everything again to rule out faulty configuration issue.

With the firmware 1.1.2 Build 20190403 rel.65811(5553), seem like "Online Upgrade" section finally functional when IPv6 is turned on.thumbsup.gif
The same for the Internet Status LED too where it lights up in green color when IPv6 connectivity is established.thumbsup.gif

However......IPv6 firewall still doesn't work. bangwall.gif  Port scan still shows same results as in Page 79 of this thread. sad.gif  bangwall.gif
Thus.......what does the changelog "Improve the security of device" actually do?  hmm.gif

Can you forward the IPv6 firewall issue to the software engineering department with the explicit mention of A6 1.1.2 Build 20190403 doesn't fix the IPv6 firewall problem?  icon_question.gif

Maybe they need more info?
Selecting Malaysia-Unifi preset at Network, IPTV/VLAN?
IPv6 = PPPoE, Use the same session with IPv4 Connection?
EDIT:
The reason I reset the router after upgrading the firmware to 1.1.2 ;
Simple = the "Online Upgrade" section still display "No Internet Connectivity" and Internet Status LED don't wanna change to green after IPv6 connectivity is established.
Once reset, those two will work as expected.
Unfortunately IPv6 firewall still doesn't work.
*
Hi Sir, thank you for the feedback, glad that the latest firmware fixed the LED and web interface bug.

We will check with our team again.

In the meantime, would it be possible if you try different options for IPV6 such as Dynamic IP.

Try experimenting it with SLAAC + Stateless DHCP as well.
