Get the Street triple R. You won't regret it.

This coming from a former Z800 owner. As much as I loved the Z8, the street triple wins it by being super light and nimbler.

Ok bro thanks for sharing as z800 owner experience

If those 3 are the only choices, I'd opt for Street Triple R. The only downside I see (addition to ajaibman notes) is, it is a continental bike. You have the continental premium if something goes wrong (hopefully not lah sweat.gif ).

p/s: Most of my friends who have tried (not owned) Z800 says the bike is heavy. I haven't ridden one before, just sat on it at a shop.

p/p/s: Go try out the Striple at Fastbikes PJ. Surely you'll want one. brows.gif

Yaaaa, continental and expected maintenance will costly than normal.
Let's me go try triple r and MT09 first before make any decision. Thanks for sharing

since ts is tall n on the heavy side, jz watch out the soft suspension of the mt09

reviewers mentioned the stock suspension is not good for riding hard n attacking corners..

msia mt09 still have jerky throttle response it seems...

But... even before Z900 came out, there are a lot of used Z800s on sale. hmm.gif

I believe it's the group of ppl who bought the Z800.... Most owners I believe are those who can just afford a rm50k bike. Those who jumped into the big bike world but could not afford more expensive models. So they opted for z8, maybe just ngam ngam can afford. So when it comes to maintenance, road tax, insurance.. They come to realised that they cannot really afford to keep this bike. Hence sell it off.

I'm getting a z800 test ride for few day, last night ride it for an hour, easy control, good enough power, not that heavy as I imagine maybe because I'm not in heavy traffic.
Will try for few more day and find some chance try MT09 and street triple R too.
I think which model give me the best feeling from my heart that will be it ed. like omg I wanna get this bike feeling hahahahaha

Hi all,

I just sold my ER6F and wanna choose between this three bike for my next bike which it's around my budget for used bike price, year from 2010-2014.

Anyone have any idea or opinion or suggestions for me?

I been online research for review for this three bike but still can't make my decision.

Thanks everyone if u would like to share your experience.

Street Triple gets my vote.

The Kawasakis are far too common.

The MT-09 for season riders will find the suspension quite soft. For new riders, it is negligible..it does not matters, in fact for new riders it is very comfort..the standard suspension of MT-09 is good till 7or8/10..but for normal road ride I think u barely push it till 8/10 limit..for street triple r, yes u can push the suspension till 9/9 or 10/10 but MT-09 gem is on the engine. brows.gif

It is very fun bike. If it is a person, it is best describe as a funny guy a bit gila2 drool.gif funny to be with..but if you cross him or disrespect him, it will whack you back.. notworthy.gif
It is light, quite easy filtering thru traffic jam..
Snatch or jerky initial throttle response,no issue la..anyone worth his salt riding a motorcycle can adapt to it in shortest time, but do respect your throttle twisting or else you will see the sky laugh.gif
The noise..oh yeah very sweeet noise it produce, the gurgling noise...oh my.. Low speed 2nd gear, twist the throttle and let go, the gurgling noise are just awesome..mind u, that is just from standard ehaust, not yet slapping with full Akira system,it definitely going to wet your underwear devil.gif
What I don't like only 2..the horn button location..whoever design the horn position deserved to be shot...
The standard seat quite hard, if your trip are less than 40 min, then it is fine but if more than that , u start to get a butt ache hahahahaha...but seat issue easy to resolve
It have a very good base to start with, in case you plan to upgrade it..
Imagine this....MT 09sp
Ohlins suspension front to back
Brembo brake caliper m42
Brembo brake & clutch lever
Akra carbon exhaust
& litter it with some carbon Fiber parts
Oh my oh my....have to start sell kidney cry.gif

From my limited experience with the mt09, yes, the soft suspension is a real bummer. Feels like you're sailing on a boat when you pick up the pace in the twisty roads. The twitchy throttle doesn't help either. Also, small tank means you'll refuel more often.

Apparently the new model seems to have fixed a few of these issues. Haven't had the opportunity to try it out yet.

Where the bike shines is in heavy traffic jam. It's the only bike I ever used that can keep up with the kapcais in terms of cilok between cars. laugh.gif
