as green as possible biggrin.gif
5-6 fishy and some shrimp

btw is there any monthly maintenance $ needed if using the Co2 tank?

i would like to go for 1 time expense only...
*
monthly maintenance sure got abit work lo... such as fertilizing, water change, pickup dead plants/fish... normal co2 tank can last u for about a year before refilling needed, depending on bps rate... usually small tank needs less bps...

since u have rm500 budget, mayb u can invest more in proper substrate setup.... a nice tank with nice lighting housing do look appealing, though will cost abit more... as for water filter, a HOB will be sufficient for small 1ft nano tank... using a canister filter will cause too strong water current in ur tank...

normally when setting up a planted tank, first time setup will cost abit more den usual... monthly maintenance will cost much cheaper... especially when u're having small tanks....

biggrin.gif

It's a full custom DIY light for tanks between 1feet and 1.5feeters. It hold 36watts(18watts x 2) of PL-L Philips.

the body is made of aluminium for great heat dispersion and etc etc etc. the rod has been tested to withstand 10Kgs +/- So that light which weighs 0.8kg is allright. (It has a E-ballast from plhillips hidden inside..)

Price is Rm 6xx. Be prepared to spend to get this fancy little gizmo. (prices on sized differ of course.)

What time is it when your lights turn on? If the surrounding is dark then your light suddenly turn on, they're prone to be spooked!

well....do we really nid to filled up the tank to 90%???
or setup a cover so that fishy will not jump out commited suicide....
*
coz i using HOB, i need to fill the water level until the lips of the HOB filter... if not when the filter is running, water gushing out from the filter outlet will ruin the scape below it.... if u using external canister not necessary i guess...
