What we post here is about the latest kits involved. As shown by the topic, it's about New Kits for 07/08.

All that is discussed here is about the new jerseys. Photos of the new kits being paraded by male/female fans, how to apply the NNs on the new kits (because using new NNs), where to get them.. and I always post pictures of any latest kits.

Sadly this forum does not have a dedicated topic where we all can discuss about football jersey collections, differentiating ori and fake, new latest launched kit etc.. All these kinds of topics are spread inside this football lounge. My dream would be to have:

Something like that above. I'm not sure if it's possible to have a sub topic in a sub topic of Football Lounge. If it's possible, why not?

I don't see anyone posting pics of past season's jerseys. If there is, it's for educational or informational purposes.. Anyone hates my postings here?

Football is so general.. not just about the game, it's about the gear, the passion, the opinions etc...

If you have a problem with my postings here or others.. Apologies again. This just shows how interesting and fun it is about football jerseys. rather than waste time arguing with rival fans, we can all share interesting stuffs together. For example, aw13 is very good friends with me because of all this... But he's a Chelsea fan and I'm a United fan. We don't argue at all about the matches. Too childish to do that..
*
i feel you passion.
i suggest you voice your opinion about this in the helpdesk section.
because if not, im going to do that anyway.
its a waste for a huge dream not voiced out, especially when there are enthusiast ever willing to share knowledge such as you and aaron.

u got that wrong,
forum rules are fine.
reason? they have helpdesk to always improve the rules.
only the thread rule bothers me.
it bothers me because... read duke's analysisthere , it was a good one.
sorry for clouding the thread on off-topic matters

Overheard from my friend saying that the quality here's abit poorer than the uk ones. I have the last version of the Vodafone home jersey that brought from uk. The sponsorship's display looks ok, no visible of worn out. But the last season's jersey (brought from nike shop), the AIG's lines supposingly gold colour, have turned out to be green. Not quite sure anyone encounter this.

Maybe the jerseyman aka schmeichel7 care to enlight us a little bit?

QUOTE(schmeichel7 @ Aug 7 2007, 12:11 PM)
Well.. the tags are similar to the ones used by previous Man United jerseys. For the Code 7 jerseys I have and some replicas, they use this tag... It's an original one from what I see and yes the numbers behind the black nike security tag is the jersey's serial number.

Hm.. Code 7?

That's not 100% true. The fact is, is that when I buy jerseys from UK via ebay, they are actually the same quality as made and sold here. Difference is, normally if it's used jerseys, they tend to have a same smell of detergent.. Not sure if it's from the laundy in UK, they're quite popular there (similar to our kedai dobi here.. they just put in the laundy inside the machine and put in coins.... something as seen in the Mr Bean show. Hehe)

For your information, UK and Europe themselves now outsource the production of jerseys around countries which have maybe cheaper labour (my assumption). Example, previous umbro jerseys (Man United and England) during the early 2000, if you see the inner tags.. will state as Made in China. Even replicas and Code 7 nike shorts sold in UK are Made in Thailand. Arsenal home jerseys last season are made in Indonesia.

But there are some different versions of the jersey. I have an England Euro 2000 home kit that is made in Romania. My brother has a Man United 1996-1998 home jersey that states "Made In UK, Manufactured In Spain" and the funny thing about that kit, is that there is a black square box tag near the collars and the club crest on the black square box tag is 'terbalik'. Hehehe.. Seriously, but I believe that my brother has sold that kit.

Code 7 is a term used by jersey collectors around the world to categorized jerseys, shorts and socks made by nike to be worn by players. Or easily said, code 7 are player version items. I even heard about code 7 leisure shirts sold in ebay. If you want me to explain more, sure I would. Or please go and find my previous posting somewhere behind this topic or god knows which topic in the Football Lounge...

sometimes it's just a manufacturing defect, not necessarily because of the location of the sale, manufacture, etc. it happens at times, esp if one has been overusing that jersey for the past 1 year or so. even normal tees/polos/etc will become a bit cacat if you wear them week in week out lah bro!

the thing is that this forum only have about 2 - 3 threads dedicated to jersey collecting, which may make it a wee bit messy at times. the only active one on jerseys is currently this one (New Kits), so a lil bit messy here and there lah cos not that structured. maybe schmeichel7 can actually enquire at the helpdesk and see what we can do about this. u have my vote on that! and my help as well if you need it my friend....

it's not for sale commercially. those up for sale @ eBay may be from the kit man, ppl who got them from the kit man, etc. there are some internet shops that may sale them retail, and it's usually quite expensive. but beware, eBay ones are generally fakes....esp player-versions. need to do a lot of research and queries to see if you've bought the real McCoy.

well that's quite right. used to be climalite for replica and climacool for players. they may change from time to time, esp Adidas. there was a post here (or in the other thread) from schmeichel7 for Adidas differences, seams, patches, etc. quite useful read that.

That is a good topic, but most of it is discussion on the jersey collections. It will be better to have a topic regarding football gear (jerseys, boots, balls etc) and under the topic we have topics such as latest kits, discussion on differentiating ori & fake kits, wanted list for certain jerseys etc. That's my idea anyway, if some disagrees apologies then.

No. The biggest is indeed XXXL. Nike and umbro produces XXXL. Real one zone does sell XXXL and they have reserved one for me last time. I last time bought my first ever XXXL was from real one zone. They rarely sell it or display it because.. come on... how many people want it?

Thank you. Anyway if you want, you can buy many XXXL jerseys at ebay. They are sold there. Here's for a starter:

Manchester United Home 2004/2006 XXXL

Manchester United Away 2005-2007 Away/Third XXXL

I have 3 XXXL kits. United blue away/third, last season's white away and the home nike goalkeeper last worn by Barthez. It's very big. I normally wear XXL or sometimes XL and feels quite baggy.. My wife complains saying it looks too labuh.. hehe
