Well, I've been trying to pickup FFXIV for a few times in before (download, install, play, uninstall)

Now I'm back trying again, because I'm so bored, but when I started playing again, it remind me the reason i uninstall was the games get bores easily,
mainly because the combat system isn't really action packed, just wonder do this problem goes away when we get to higher level? or the combat pace is same at all level? sad.gif

At higher level, you won't have enough fingers for skills, and sometimes you get too strong you get frustrated because things die before you complete your combo.

Haha, I get that, even now i can't finish my combo on some mobs, but when sometimes i have to repeat my combo multiple times is also annoying lol doh.gif

You should get at least two different combo by end game. And chain it all up into one big rotation for those mobs that won't die in 5 seconds. Combat gets a tad faster and more hectic near the end too.

Don't worry, at higher levels the combat is much faster and intense.

Isnt that a common thing in every MMO? Just wait you get to at least 50. You will the combat is much faster since that's when you get most of your combo skills unlocked.

Also, you should not only focus on the combat system. This game is packed with more enjoyable stuffs than just swinging your axe. Pay attention to the story like you do when watching a movie. Every thing you do here has a lore and you'll get immerse pretty easily when you don't focus way too much to the combat. Even I actually find that the combat is slow, but not necessarily a bad thing. It's more tactical than an action rpg.if you have played Dragon age origins or any tactics rpg, you'll understand than a fast paced combat system is not always then best thing.

I had the same problem as you initially, thats why I gave up last time. With the launch of Stormblood though, I thought why not play till lvl 35 (Free trial cap).

I am now a lvl 70 Samurai, and I wish combat was slower tongue.gif

Skills to press following a certain sequence, keeping buffs up and juggling between GCD and oGCD.
