You should've ask about it first instead of just go and sell. 50mm f1.4 is 1k and 50mm f1.8 is only 300+, which one is better? you do the math

it should be 'what you want to do with the lens', instead of 'what this lens can do for me'... it seems like you're in the latter category, which includes RICH ppl....
you shouldn't buy a lens, then only ask ppl issit good or not, it's the right choice or not, bla, bla, bla. photography should not work that way my friend,,. just my opinion.. cheers... |

For a professional, it's different. It's "when you need the lens you NEED the lens", it's always a no-choice situation. Lenses create that angle, perspective, performance and optical excellence that you need for that particular assignment whereas newbies and amateurs buy lenses mostly becoz his peers has one or there are certain type of images that he is very interested to shoot, it's hardly a no-choice thingy.
