Yes, I don't see why. Always get full speed for data roaming.
Why? I have contacts working there. Chatting with one now to complain about Digi. laugh.gif

Never tried data roaming before, curious about it
Can get >100mbps speed in SG?

I don't know, first time trying data roaming in SG. Let's see. laugh.gif
Some telcos only allow H+ but not 4G.
*
Oh ok, still got some restriction there

The only way to do this for now is to tether your phone to the computer, then use IPv6 to access it.

All the LTE modem routers out there has atrocious IPV6 support, which is a shame because many telcos are IPv6-ready.
*
What about this setup?
Huawei b310 --> Huawei WS880

Can I setup ipv6 on ws880?
I already flashed custom firmware (asuswrt) on it and there's an ipv6 option but I'm not sure how to configure it.
Ipv6 noob btw, never setup before and intend to use it to access my ipcamera feeds at home

Can you dial via ws880? If not, then it isn't possible.
*
Basically I use the b310 as WAN
For dialing, you mean if I use 4g modem connected to ws880 and dial digi?

If that's the case then you cannot then.

I wonder if the prefix can be acquired via DHCPv6...
*
So what's the ideal case to be able to use ipv6 with my ws880?

Frankly speaking, no idea. Either find a dongle that can be turned to bridge mode (ha) or use something like SXT LTE.
*
Bridge mode as in not NATed like one of those hilink modems?
The ones that need dialer software (non-hilink modem)

What is your setup for ipv6 with digi 4g?

That probably is. Maybe I should get one of those dongle some time.

As for enabling IPv6 on smartphone, I merely changed the APN protocols to IPv4/IPv6.
*
I have the E3372 dongle that you mentioned (non hilink version)
So how should I proceed with it? My WS880 would automatically connect to digi once usb modem attached
Should I go with tunnelbroker? Tried creating one before (when B310 was connected to the WS880) and got error something about ip inaccessible

Since all my devices connected at home still using ipv4, how do I prepare for ipv6?
Especially for my network camera/raspberry pi with static ipv4 address, do I need to like setup static ipv6 address if there's such?

I am not familiar with that W880 router, so I cannot have anything to say really here.
*
Nevermind about the huawei ws880 router (it's running asuswrt btw)

What about the basics of setting up ipv6 with existing devices already connected to router (with static ipv4 address)?
Coz i have zero clues how to properly set it up
Only tutorial I've seen is setup with 6to4/tunnelbroker

I mean you must've configured it using any custom router firmware like ddwrt/openwrt/asudwrt

For OpenWRT, everything is explained at https://wiki.openwrt.org/doc/uci/network6

The problem now lies on how to pull a prefix from DiGi for the router itself.
*
Ok, that's too much information to process
Not exactly a straightforward tutorial
How did you configure ipv6 directly on your phone?

Change both APN protocols' options to IPv4/IPv6.
Probably needs to be at least Android 5?
*
Got it working on my phone
If I got ipv6 working on router
How exactly do i access ipcamera/other service remotely?

With ipv4, i would usually assign dns name & portforward to that device. So it goes like this

myipcamera.duckdns.org:8010

Could you give an example with ipv6? Since you don't need to portforward with ipv6

You run your DNS updater on the camera itself or on the router?

On the router

Then you will have to find a way to configure your DNS updater to send your camera's IPv6 address to the DNS server then instead of your router's IPv6 address.
*
So each IPv6 address for each device is unique?
With ipv4, usually you'll just need to open port that is used by that device for example port 8050
Then use dns for that router and add port 8050 at the end

So it's different with ipv6 where you need to have specific dns for each ipv6 address?
Or just directly input the actual ipv6 address to remote access it (for example 2001:0db8:85xx:0000:0000:8a2e:03xx:7xx)?
No need to add port number etc

Assuming that you can update the AAAA record for DNS address with the correct IPv6 address, then the way you access your camera will still be the same, which is:-

CODE

http://your-secret-camera-address.com:8050

*
Ok, just add those port number at the end of the of the ipv6
With Ipv6, you can access it without portforwarding right?
Or need to add some extra firewall rule in the router to be able to remotely access them?

Can any device have both ipv4 and ipv6 assigned?

A device can has both assigned. You may or may not have to tweak the firewall, depending on existing setup.

No, the pc/phone must also has IPv6 connectivity.
*
Can you set static ipv6 on connected device like ipcamera?
Will it stay static or changes over time which pretty much makes dns necessary?

Guys, can anyone advice if this is a legit deal?

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Unlock-and-...3c-51b536c41128

Never buy from aliexpress before and the price is super cheap 108USD
*
The price is around rm400 at taobao, so I guess that's pretty much the price range for this model.
