New plan from digi. Wander if the 150 plan will still continue to be offered after that.

Imo I wouldn't mind the unlimited plan to still be offered as long as digi has the infrastructure to handle all the data for users.

Yup. All within one day. Settle today. I got my Sim for infinite. Sim for MNP, router ee60 from Alcatel.

It seems that maybe the router got limitation. The speed test was not that good compared to my wife DiGi iPhone. I might need to test the infinite Sim directly to my phone.

My wife DiGi (downgraded to DiGi family plan 28 from 50)[attachmentid=8883444]

Alcatel router with infinite sim

The ee60 doesn't support LTE-A looking from the specs.

I just noticed that when I use Huawei E5186 Toolbox, both my B3 only and B3+B7 share the same Cell-ID HEX/DEC. hmm.gif Only when I switch to B7 only, this information is changed.

Does it mean I don't have LTE-A in my area? unsure.gif

Same here. Just did a test to confirm. Same cell id for b3 and b3+b7. But different cell for b7 alone.

Funny thing is that i get faster speeds with locking to b3 (dl 30mbps up 30mbps and some areas can dl 50mbps). If b3+b7 it is slower than b3. For b7 it is slower than b3 as well but probably because the signal for this is 1 bar.

Normally i airplane mode on n off to change from B7 to B3 vice versa...
But that is always for temporary only
As digi want users at B7 rather than B3 due to B3 congested at many sites...

Ironic because B7 is the slowest and signal is the weakest among B3 and B3+B7 biggrin.gif

From the huawei toolbox, the new 900mhz can't CA with other bands such as b3 or b7. Guess it will only improve 4g and not 4g+?

Well, 900Mhz may be great for signal penetration but it is slower than 1800Mhz or 2600Mhz in most cases.

It can't do CA with other band and I believe the bandwidth is only 5Mhz. Digi is broadcasting 10Mhz at 2600Mhz and 1800Mhz.

I hope Digi will launch 20Mhz on their 1800Mhz soon. Mind you Celcom is pushing for 20Mhz 4X4 in the future.

Edit: So, don't hold your breathe for it. Your 1800Mhz is probably faster.

In that case, 900mhz is Nothing much to get excited about, speedwise that is.

In bold above. Got any announcements or rumors about it?

You can add in those bands. Mine has B3+B8, B7+B8 and B8 only. Not sure if it will eventually work or not, last tried I still can't detect B8.
*
Oh I see now. The toolbox shows b3+b20 and b7+b20 so I thought can't CA 900mhz. it turns out that i need to edit the configs to make it b3+B8 and b7+B8.

However bro Blacktubi said that digi 900mhz can't CA. Still possible, maybe..

Huawei E5186 can only do CA on the following bands.

FDD Down Link (DL) Carrier Aggregation (CA): 1800 MHz + 2600 MHz, 1800 MHz + 800 MHz, 2600 MHz + 800 MHz, 1800 MHz intra-band contiguous, 2600 MHz intra-band contiguous

Huawei e5786 also same? I assume so...

Should be. I do not have the datasheet for E5786
Yup, it supports B8 on LTE but just no CA.

QUOTE(fruitie @ Jul 1 2017, 12:49 PM)
Can't CA for 900mhz for e5786 too based on that spec sheet sad.gif
