err, if you put your modem away from your speaker, i think it will better and wont get so many interference

The info from E5186s-61a is different and says CA mode is No.
I am getting ~ 10 to 15 mbps max with 4 bars.

Why don't u try locking it to band 3 first? In my place, band 3 is faster than band 7.

I want to buy Netgear Aircard AC810s with 3CA but according to you on AC790s, you said to be careful that it's just B3+B3 instead of B3+B7 CA. Should I proceed with Netgear or the one suggested by blacktubi and get Huawei E5787? Many thanks 

Did you manage to test out 5186 vs 5786 speeds? Any major difference other than one is a home modem and the other mifi. Thinking of going for the 5786 since i travel alot and using it for the main internet as well. Been using e589 as my main modem since 2013 and so far it stood the test of time with normal lte. Time for an upgrade to lte-a. 

Ah so not fully utilizing the lte-a yet. I think my home in pj is just outside the lte-a area (based on indoor coverage on digi's site but outdoor have) so i probably won't be able to use lte-a at home yet as well. Faster digi expand their lte-a

Just got my E5186s-22a from Taobao, I think LTE-A is overated. Carrier aggregation (Band 3 + Band 7) is slower than just band 3.

1. Band 3, Download: 32Mbps, Upload: 17Mbps, ping: 42ms
2. Band 7, Download: 2Mbps, Upload: 1Kbs, ping: 218ms
3. Band 3+7, Download: 3Mbps, Upload: 350Kbs, ping: 124ms

I honestly quite regret buying this modem. It cost RM550 at Taobao. I don't think we really need LTE CAT 6 router. LTE CAT 4 with ability to lock band 3 would be sufficient. And that too would be cheaper than CAT 6 router. Just my 2 cents. No need to buy E5186s-22a guys. It's future proof, but it would always be cheaper in the future, right?

totally agree,.. many kiasu user here for sure,.. if u can tweak band config to test it out,. single band B3/B7 is totally enough even with cat3 LTE 100mbps device,.. 

my area band 3 =10~15mbps while band 7  = 30~40Mbps
if i use ca device, confirm will be lower speed than my band 7 for sure,. it will even balance out like load balancer

Because i saw someone signature is with 170Mbps ++, so i know there's still room to improve. Thats why i wanna know how this mobile tools gonna help me, cuz i dont really understand the reading. Currently with 2 yagi pointing directly to tower. And i once got the ping of 18 but now no such song sing d, and i once got the upload of 30Mbps ++ but now always at 20... I know i know, there's room to improve still... So any sifu can guide me on those reading thing?

one more thing for E5186 specs, Lan is at 1Gbps speed and Wifi is at 1300Mbps for both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz. May i know 2.4Ghz is at what speed and 5Ghz is at what speed?
