anywa i am planning to get one already...but wanna know what other use can a dry box / dry cabinet be, other than keeping a fungus free camera dslr..


can it store wine?
can it store cigar?
can it store leather watches and wallets?

Some people used dry-cabinet to store their video-cassette collection, so as to keep them fungus-free.

Padded airtight tupper ware + silica gel works good for me. CD/DVDs need to be stored dry or the dye will mess up very very quickly. I dont think you'd wanna store leather stuff in a dry place, it'd crack pretty quickly.

a sifu tell me....use tupperware, air tight type would do...with silica gel inside la of course...for best result

ya, tht's y now when i go jusco or parkson, i start hanging around the food container shelter.

but i think if hav a lot of gears and acc (which for me, way to go..), go for drybox more convenient...imagine if lots of lenses n having all the tupperwares stacking up....

tupperware is ok...but not gaya enough..

ppl come visit house see one nice black coated with glass cabinet, ppl might think wah wine, or wah cigar, and when really see wah camera + wine + cigar..

tahts y thinking can put the same or not lo...

found that cigar needs 70% and i think camera is 30% rite?

many ppl oso said about hippo, but i never dunno how hippo (not real one) look like. anyone can attach picture to let me see the thirsty hippo face?

erm, u go jusco or tesco or carrefour , search under air refreshener or toilet fragrance shelter, u will find 1, the shape is like a maggie mee cup but in square shape. tongue.gif

a digital camera gear need 40% - 50% humidity.
That will surely prolong it's life
