Dear All,

My spec below :

Intel Core i5-4690K
Corsair H80i GT CPU Cooler
Asus Z97-A Mobo
Kingston Hyper X Fury 1866 8GB DDR3
MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4G
Intel 730 256GB SSD
Corsair HX650W PSU

I have success OC the i5-4690K to 4.5GHz and with VCORE 1.150V and the temp on idle is around 45 - 58 degree Celsius.

While i do stability testing using Aida64 Extreme for around 15 minutes, the temp average will be 70 mid and will jump to 80- 84 degree for 2 or 3 second den back to 70++.

And i have play GTA V for 15 minutes and the max temp i get is 70 mid and frame rate stay at 60fps.

Now my concern is did the temp on idle is normal ? And will it too hot while gaming ? Did i need to re-seat my cpu cooler and re-apply the thermal paste.

Thanks and Regards

normal.

1. Temp is based of your ambient
2. Temp is also based on how effective in removing the heat from the die to outside the casing. So that depends on the cpu cooler you use , thermal paste, and how your casing fan config is.
